    Description: FRANK PASTIFSKY
    Frank Pastifsky. 74. died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jacob Osowski. 1109 N. Richmond street, last night after being ill since last November. He was born April 24, 1865, In Germany. Mr. Pastifsky resided on a farm in the town of Harrison for 62 years and lived a the Ohskosh residence the last two years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Jacob Osowski, Mrs. Walter Osowski, Appleton; and one sister, Mrs Leo Langlois, Antigo. The funeral will be conducted at 9:30 Saturday morning at the home of Mrs. Jacob Osowski with services at 10 o'clock at St Joseph church. Burial will be in Holy Angels cemetery at Darboy. The body will be removed from the Schommer Funeral home to the Osowski residence Friday afternoon and a prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 Friday evening.

    Rita Ann Vander Wyst, age 70, of Fence died on Monday, January 3, 2000. She was born in Appleton on May 27, 1929 to the late Jacob and Mary (Pfstifsky) Osowsky. On October 14, 1948 she married John W. Vander Wyst at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rita attended St. Joseph Grade School and Appleton High School. She was a past president of the Appleton Wives Association. She and her husband have lived in the town of Fence since their retirement in 1980. Rita was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek. She will be greatly missed by her husband John; sons: Gary J. of Rhinelander, Guy (Ann) of Menasha; daughters: Gail (Lee) Heath of Peoria, AZ.;Gloria Beltz of Hortonville; and Gwen (Mike) Shaw of Colorado Springs, CO.; grandchildren; Wesley, Nick, Kyle, Troy, Michael, Megan, Matthew, John, Zachariah, Richard, Philip, and Alex; sister Scholastica (Henry) Emons of Darboy; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosella Schneider and Genevieve Sachs. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2000 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St. with Father David Belongea, Capuchin officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 until 8p.m. and again on Thursday from 10a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank Dr. Nancy Homburg and the Affinity Hospice Program, especially Ann and Linda. She is dearly loved by her family and will be missed by many.

    Age 78, Shawano County, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Friday, February 14, 2003 at her residence. The Eberharadt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements.
    Hilda was born on April 7, 1924 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Pastifsy) Oskey. Hilda met John M. Deeg and the couple was united in marriage on August 19, 1950 in Appleton. The couple moved to the Phoenix area in 1973 until John passed away January of 1987. Hilda continued her residence in Phoenix until most recently when she moved to live with her son Ron at her current address. Hilda was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Phoenix where she was a faithful Christian. Her passion was one of encouragement, love and sharing including many hours of volunteer work. The family would like to thank the Shawano Hospice for the kindness they showed toward Hilda. They would also like to extend thanks to Rev. Todd Jerabek and Dr. Cynthia Egan for their efforts.
    Survivors include a son, Ronald (Carol) Deeg, Clintonville; two grandchildren: Rhonda (Alan) Blake, Prescott, Wisconsin; Gregg Snell, Bear Creek; four great-grandchildren, a sister, Agatha Praniewicz, Waupaca; two brothers: Alex Oskey, Joplin, Missouri; Lawrence Oskey, Appleton; two good friends: Les and Joyce Timm. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John; a daughter, Nancy; three brothers and three sisters.
    Memorial services will be Saturday February 22, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at the Highland Memorial Park Chapel in Appleton, Wisconsin with the Rev. Stephen Schlicht officiating with inurnment to follow.

    Gloria was granted her Angel wings on Sunday, May 1, 2011, after ending her journey with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Gloria touched in some small way throughout her life, including: her sons, John Beltz (partner Danie) and Zachariah Beltz; father, John Vander Wyst; brother, Gary Vander Wyst; brother, Guy Vander Wyst (Ann); sisters, Gail Heath (Lee) and Gwen Shaw (Mike). She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Rita (Osowski) Vander Wyst.
    She is survived by two grandchildren: Charlee and Destin, many nephews, one niece, friends and Chris Lembeke, one of many who assisted with care-giving.
    Gloria was a strong person and raised her two sons proudly. She loved to be with friends, shopping, gardening, attending church and was especially talented in her crafts: sewing and knitting. She will be greatly missed but we know she is in a better place.
    A memorial service will take place Friday, May 6, 2011, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by her celebration of life conducted by Pastor Philip Bridges at Christian Life Center, 670 N. Green Bay Rd., Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to St. Elizabeth Hospital, Vallhaven Care Center and Affinity Hospice, in particular Lorie and Andrea, who saw her through her journey.

    Janice L. Becher, age 67, of Appleton, passed away from a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born on February 16, 1944 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Alex and Florence (Eckes) Oskey. On November 19, 1961 she married William S. Nowak. Janice later married James E. Becher on August 30, 1974 he preceded her in death on August 31, 1981. She loved to play bingo and spend time with her family.
    Janice is survived by her daughters: Christine (Michael) Paulik, Winneconne and Deborah (special friend Donny Mason) Klug, Altoona, Iowa; son: David (special friend Therese Creed) Becher, Appleton; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers: Robert (Maureen) Oskey, Camarillo, California and Donald (Ruth) Oskey, Kalispell, Montana and a step-sister: Carol Salazar, Joplin, Missouri. She is further survived by her cat, Boo or Butthead as mom liked to call her; special friends, Sharon Havel, Diane Trendel and Peggy Veldman; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
    She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Irene Oskey; sister, Shirley Rohde and step-sister, Sandra Gaulke.
    The funeral liturgy for Janice will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 26, 2011 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - DARBOY, W2796 Hwy KK. Sister Annette Koss will be presiding. Inurnment will take place at the parish cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
    Special thanks to Dr. Grammot and his staff at Affinity Medical Center, Affinity Hospice Home Care, Lori S., Heather and the rest of the staff.
