    Obituary:
James H. Milheiser, Jr., 86, of the town of Menasha, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at his home.
Jim was born June 25, 1925, in Appleton, the son of James Sr. and Anna (Smolinski) Milheiser. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre. Following his return home from duty, Jim was united in marriage to Dorothy Leverance on July 6, 1946, in Menasha. Prior to his retirement, Jim was an electrician with Neenah Foundry for many years.
Jim cherished vacationing with his family at Lake Noquebay near Crivitz. He took great pride in being able to spend those quality weeks up north every year where he enjoyed fishing and boating. Jim and Dorothy enjoyed working on crafts together throughout retirement. As Jim reflected back on his life and reminisced, he always ended stories with "we always had fun."
Survivors include his beloved wife, Dorothy; three sons, Richard (Jane) Milheiser, Eau Claire; Dan (Liz) Milheiser, Neenah; and Scott (Nancy) Milheiser, Fremont; two daughters, Diane (Dave) Becker, Necedah; and Elizabeth Milheiser, Weyauwega; and there are 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orville and Gordon; and two sisters, Ann and Florence.
A private family memorial service for Jim will be held at a later time. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend many heartfelt thanks to everyone with Affinity Hospice and the VNA. You were all fantastic. The care and compassion they showed Jim and our family during this difficult time allowed Jim to stay at home. Your support in person or by phone was comforting and deeply appreciated.
