    Notes:

    Obituary:
Roland, surrounded by his family, went home to the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2010. Roland was born in the Town of Ellington on March 13, 1921, to the late Albert H. and Selma A. (Lemke) Kaddatz. He was baptized on April 24, 1921, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Stephensville, Wisconsin. He reaffirmed his faith at his confirmation on June 24, 1934. "To the Jews who had believed in him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.'" John 8:31-32.
On June 2, 1945, Roland was united in marriage with Valda D. Nitzske at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. They enjoyed 65 loving years together. Bud was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Roland graduated from Shiocton High School in 1938, and shortly after graduation he began farming in the Town of Bovina. He served on many boards at his church, Fox Valley Lutheran High School, the former Shiocton Cheese cooperative and 4-H. After he retired from dairy farming in 1982, Bud continued to raise sheep and horses. He enjoyed many hours tending his large garden and visiting with his "wonderful" neighbors and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family, especially holidays. The legacy he leaves them is his unwavering faith; commitment to education, especially Christian education; his enduring work ethic; and his unending generosity.
Roland is survived by his loving wife, Valda; two daughters and sons-in law, Krystal (William) Schumacher, Green Bay and Karla (Thomas) Luehring, Shiocton; five grandchildren, Scott (Jamie) Schumacher, Green Bay, Reverend Andrew (Nicole) Luehring, Pinetop, Arizona, Timothy Schumacher, Green Bay, Mitchell Luehring and special friend Rachel Parish, Lacrosse, and Brittany Luehring, Stevens Point; and two great-grandsons, Tyler Schumacher and Ian Luehring. Sister, Elda Van Handel, brother, Lyle, sister-in-law, Lila Kaddatz, brother-in-law Ralph (Bernice) Nitzske, sister-in law Madeline Nitzske and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews further survive him.
In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his infant twin daughters, Lois and Louis; sisters, Irene, Gladys (Clyde) Main; brother, Elmer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Art Van Handel, Mary Jane Kaddatz, Herbert (Helen) Nitzske, Eleanor (William) Kuhnke, Ervin Nitzske, Loretta (Clifford) Nelson, and Bernice (Glen) Spaulding.
The family will receive family and friends at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stephensville, on Saturday, September 4, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at noon with Pastors Joel Lillo and Andrew Luehring officiating. Commitment services to the Ellington Union cemetery will follow the church service. A memorial fund in Roland's memory to support Christian education has been established.
