    Obituary:
Embarrass, WI - Jeffrey L. Scherer, a resident of Embarrass, WI, died unexpectedly, on January 13, 2018 at the age of 66 at his home on the Cloverleaf Lakes.
Jeff was born in Appleton, WI on June 5, 1951. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1969. He began college at UW-Milwaukee, but soon entered the workforce. He loved the idea of designing something new, whether it be from scratch or making modifications to something that already existed. He had great vision and the talent to take an idea from paper to something tangible. This skill set allowed him to have a very successful career with Jacobs Engineering, formally CPR Engineering and Associates, in De Pere, WI. He worked his way up from an entry level designer to a department manager before retiring.
Jeff was a good dad, husband and grandpa. He always had time to listen, tell stories, and help others. He truly enjoyed his work. He took great pride in doing his job, and doing the job right. As he got older, he developed an appreciation for life and relaxation. Jeff and Kerry moved from Appleton to the Cloverleaf Lakes, with their dog, Salty. There they found a great group of friends, enjoyed taking pontoon rides, playing cards, hanging out at the sandbar, and sitting on the deck overlooking the lake.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kerry; his son, Ryan; step-daughter, Jessie (Jason) Garvin. Five grandchildren, Madalyn, Alexander, and Molly Scherer; Macy and Cooper Garvin; brother-in-law, David Pecks and Sarah (Tom) Houlihan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Ken Knabenbauer, sister Lynn (David) Pecks, and three nephews, Tom, Jim and Brian Houlihan.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A special thanks to Kerry, who has been with Jeff every step of the way since the day they met. She donated her kidney to him. She also saw him through heart bypass surgery and many overnight stays in the hospital. He appreciated the love and caring, and he loved her very much! Condolences may be sent to: Kerry Scherer, N2865 County Rd Y, Clintonville, WI, 54929.
