Obituary:
James R. "Punk" Schell, 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Punk was born on December 11, 1931 to Charles and Alice (Nooyen) Schell in Kaukauna. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy. On September 28, 1957 he was united in marriage to Margaret Vandenbosch. Punk enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He also spent the winter in Arizona and enjoyed going up north to his land where he had a cabin. Punk was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.
Punk is survived by his children; Rebecca (Gary) Kempen, Mark Schell, a daughter-in-law, Barb Schell, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marge, a son Greg Schell, and his siblings; Mary (Bill) Brux, Leroy (Pat) Schell, Pat (Marvin) Hooyman.
The funeral for Punk will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM at the FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. Schell, Gregory "Greg"
Gregory "Greg" Schell, Kaukauna, 48, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, at home with his family by his side following a battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 24, 1960, in Kaukauna son of James and Margaret (VanDen Bosch) Schell. On Feb. 16, 1995, Greg married the former Barb Millay in Jamaica. The couple lived in Kaukauna their entire married lives. He was employed at Appleton Papers for 30 years. Greg loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his Dad in the north woods. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, motorcycle riding and scuba diving together.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Barb, and his father, James "Punk" Schell, both of Kaukauna; one brother, Mark Schell, Grand Chute; and one sister, Becky (Gary) Kempen, Kaukauna. He is further survived by his wife's family, Jim and Pat Millay, Stockbridge; Dorothy Millay, Texas; Marie (Gregg) Taylor, Texas; nine stepbrothers and stepsisters, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret.
Memorial Service for Greg will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Dave Pleier officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name. 920-766-2099.
The family wishes to express special thanks to friends and family who helped so much throughout Greg's illness.
