    Obituary:
    Joseph P. Stinski "Joe," age 83, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Theda Care Hospice Residence. Joe was born in Waukesha on September 16, 1929 to the late Joseph P. and Mary (Delfosse) Stinski. On June 13, 1953, Joe was united in marriage to Darlene Nelson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah. They were married 52 years until her death in 2005. Joe had a variety of occupations throughout his life including working as a commercial fisherman, owning his own snow plowing business, and working with the street department for the City of Neenah, retiring in 1992. He valued hard work and family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others smile. Anyone who knew Joe knew exactly where they stood with him. He was a direct man who wasn't shy about sharing what he thought. His favorite pass time was fishing and he spent many summers in Eagle River doing just that. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. They brought him many hours of joy.
    Joe is survived by his son Michael Stinski, Colorado; 2 daughters: Jolene Schirmacher, Rhinelander and Dawn Mau, Neenah; 8 grandchildren: Donald, Darryl, Crystal, Ian, Daniel, Kaylin, Kendall, and Bryce; 3 sisters: Juanita (Edwin) Fehrman, Mundelein, IL, Marge Jochman, Appleton, and Florence (Leroy) Hoffmann, Appleton; 4 sisters in law: Nancy Stinski, Appleton, Lana (Walter) Angell, Neenah, Joan Nelson, Neenah, and Mary Nelson, New London; and a brother in law Keith (Judy) Nelson. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    Joe was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son Loren Stinski, 3 brothers: Dick, Jim, and Elmer Stinski; and 2 brothers in law: Myron, Duane, and Norman.
    A funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Catherine Mode officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    from www.poemsource.com/father-poems.html:
    "Hero Dad
    You are my hero, Dad
    You're my secure foundation.
    When I think of you, I'm filled with love
    And fond appreciation.
    You make me feel protected;
    I'm sheltered by your care.
    You're always my true friend;
    When I need you, you're always there.
    You have a place of honor
    Deep within my heart.
    You've been my superhero, Dad,
    Right from the very start.
    By Joanna Fuchs"
    The family would like to thank everyone that had a hand in caring for Dad over the past few months as his health was deteriorating: the Theda Clark Emergency Room staff and 5th floor nursing staff, Dr. Maguire, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Nevin, Dr. Beck, his sister and her husband, Florence and Lee Hoffmann, and the Theda Care Hospice Residence staff. I'm sure there are others that have been omitted in error but you know who you are, and while your name may not be listed, we do know who you are too.
