Obituary:
Stilp, Lucille E. 94, Hortonville, passed away after a short illness Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born June 25, 1913 to the late John and Emma (Bolle) McCandless in Barnum, Minnesota. Lucille married Thomas Stilp on June 2, 1931 and he preceded her in death in 1984. She and Tom farmed in Hortonville for many years. Lucille liked to go on bus trips with the groups and enjoyed traveling by airplane. Lucille also enjoyed reading, bird watching, her roses, fishing and most of all spending time with family. Survivors include her children: Emily Novotny, Oshkosh; Anton (Arlene) Stilp, Smithsville, TX; Joe (Sharon) Stilp, Shiocton; John (Marceede) Stilp, New London; Roman (Jeanne) Stilp, Hortonville; Dan (Garnet) Stilp, Minnesota and Robert Stilp, Van Dyne; a sister Mayme Schoerner, Plymouth, WI; brother Harold McCandless, Oshkosh; sister-in-law Ruth McCandless, Hortonville; 28 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; daughter, Gladys Karst; granddaughter Sandy Davis; great grandson, Nathan Novotny; siblings: Sadie Quick, Olive Buckholt, Charles McCandless. Funeral services for Lucille will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday April 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
