    Richard P. "Dick" Wiese, 55, Greenleaf, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 25, 2008, at his home. He was born June 6, 1953, in Green Bay, son of the late Wilfred and Mary (Kulhanek) Wiese. He graduated from Abbott Pennings High School in 1972. He married Lori Gries on Feb. 18, 1989, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hilbert. Dick was President of Fox Valley Alfalfa Mill, Hilbert, and was also a partner in Wiese Bros. Farms, Greenleaf. Dick was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenleaf. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, watching his children play sports— snowmobiling, golfing, reading and traveling. He also enjoyed shooting trap at the De Pere Sportsman Club for over 30 years, achieving many perfect scores.
    Survivors include his wife, Lori; daughter, Amy Jean (fiance, Nick Schmit) Wiese, Freedom; two sons, Nicholas and Lucas, both at home; 11 brothers and sisters, Diane (Paul) Baenen, Wrightstown; Russ (Linda), Greenleaf; Ken (Gloria), Brillion; Sharon (Bill) Turriff, Appleton; Jim (Joan), Hilbert; Bob (Sherry), Wrightstown; Carole (Gil) Salm, Greenleaf; Mary (Norbert) Zitzelsberger, Greenleaf; Roger (Sheryl), Greenleaf; David (Joyce), Greenleaf; and Mark (Cathy), Greenleaf. He is further survived by Lori's family, Paul and Debra Gries, Loyal, Wis.; Margaret and Donald Hudziak, Hilbert; Joe and Darlene Gries, Little Chute; Rose and John Ebert, Reedsville; Mike and Chris Gries, Kaukauna; Amy's mother, Leanne Springstroh, Freedom; his best friend, David "Whitey" Smet, De Pere, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
    Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul and Daniel; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Delia Gries; and a great niece, Riviera Konen.
    Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 29, 2008, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenleaf. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at church, with Fr. Robert Kabat officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Dick's name.     The family extends a special thank you to the County Rescue crew and area first responders, and to all the people who have called or stopped by with words of comfort and support.
    Dick had a great sense of humor and a wonderful business sense. He will be dearly missed by his wife, family, friends, and many business associates that he also considered his friends. Dick truly enjoyed working side by side everyday with his brothers and sister.
