Mrs. Ida Gallea Dies Unexpectedly Victim of Heart Ailment Had Been New London Resident for 35 years New London - Mrs. Ida Gallea, 74, died suddenly of a heart ail- ment about 1:15 yesterday after- noon at her downtown apartment at 211 S. Pearl street. She was ill only a few hours and had been about as usual on Monday. She was born in Medina Sept. 21, 1863, and came to New London with her husband 35 years ago. She is survived by six brothers and one sister, Mrs Guy Hopkins, Medina; Irad Hills, in Illinois, Arthur Hills, Delhart, Texas, Ernest, Oshkosh: Charles, Fond du- Lac: and Howard and Alfred, Medina. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Fehrman - Kircher funeral home with the Rev. R. R. Holliday in charge. Burial will be in Floral Hill cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home until the time of the services.

Obituary:
Arthur Hills Rites Saturday at Medina
Word has been received here of the death Nov. 5 of Arthur Irvin Hills, 7, at Dalhart, Texas. Mr. Hills was born at Medina Nov. 13, 1865, and married Alsetta Lieby June 15, 1905. He lived in Medina until 1905 when he moved to Dalhart. Surviving are two sons, Aimsworth and Maynard and four grandchildren, all of Dalhart: five brothers; Irad, Batavia, Ill; Charles, Hortonville: Ernest, Oshkosh; How- ard and Alfred, Medina; and one sister, Mrs. Guy Hopkins, Medina. The body may be viewed at the Methodist church of Medina from 10 o'clock until 2 o'clock Saturday when the services will be conducted. Burial will be in the South Medina cemetery. The Rev. Daniel De Braal will conduct the services.

In the 1930 Census, Ernest is a boarder in the Philip Wagner boarding house in the 12th ward in the City of Oshkosh. He was listed as being 62 years old, single and a roofing solicitor.

RITES ARE HELD FOR ERNEST HILLS
Funeral rites for Ernest E. HIlls, 79, Medina, Wis., who passed away --day night at 9 o'clock at the Winnebago county home, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Spikes & McDonald funeral home with the Rev. Hugh ---sdall officiating. Internment took place at Winnebago.
Mr. Hills was born at Medina June 9, 1867, the son of Hubbard E. and Hannah Aiken Hills. He was a retired --entor.
The only immediate survivor is one brother, Alfred Hills of Waukesha, Wis., who attended the services.

Biography:
ALFRED R. HILLS, a progressive and well-to-do agriculturist of Dale township, Outagamie county, operating a farm of 160 acres situated in section 35, was born in Dale township, August 27, 1869, and is a son of Hubbard E. Hills. Hubbard E. Hills was born April 4, 1834, in East Hartford, Connecticut, and was married in the spring of 1854, to Miss Hannah C. Akins, who was born September 21, 1837. After their marriage they came to Wisconsin and settled on wild land in Dale township, where they spent the remainder of their lives, Mr. Hills dying December 11, 1900. Alfred R. Hills was one of a family of nine children, and he received his education in the common schools, remaining on the home farm until he was twenty years of age, at which time he commenced working for wages at the cheese making trade. He continued thus for twelve years, and during the next three years was engaged in the manufacture of cheese on his own account. In 1896 his factory was destroyed by fire, and he again began working for wages, but in 1905 returned to the home farm, which now belongs to his mother, and here he has carried on general farming ever since, having about 100 acres of land under cultivation. He markets dairy products, hogs, potatoes and some grain, and is considered one of the good, practical farmers of his township. He is socially connected with the Equitable Fraternal Union and Modern Woodmen of America, and is a Republican in his political views, having served Dale township as a member of the school board for about five years. In 1895 Mr. Hills was married to Miss Minnie Alger, who was born October 7, 1875, the second of three daughters born to Hartley and Marilla Alger, natives of New York State who were married there and later moved to Illinois where Mrs. Alger died. Mr. Alger then returned to New York State where his death occurred. One child has been born to Mr. and Mrs. Hills, Murl E., who was born February 5, 1896.

Last Member of Pioneer Medina Family Succumbs The last member of a pio- neer Medina family, Alfred R. Hills, 90, died Thursday evening at Waukesha. He had been a life-long farmer at Medina. He was born Aug. 27 1869, in Medina. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Erling Larsen Funeral home Waukesha, with the Rev. William Blake, pastor of the First Methodist church, Waukesha, officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Home cemetery, Waukesha. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. R. L. Rupple, Waukesha, two grandchildren,and three great grand children.

Alfred married Alger, Minnie Abt 1895. Minnie was born 7 Oct 1875, , , New York, USA; died 19 Jun 1954; was buried , Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]
