    Newhouse, Lloyd J., KimberlyAge 93, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Oakridge Gardens Care Cente r. Lloyd was born in Hortonville on August 30, 1909, son of the late Antho ny and Anna (Vandenberg) Newhouse. On October 11, 1932, he married the for mer Mildred Fredericks at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; Mildred preceded L loyd in death in May of 2002. For many years, Lloyd was employed at the Ki mberly Clark mill in Kimberly, and retired as a maintenance superviso r. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and fishing.Lloyd is survived by his daughter: Janet (Bernie) Ver Bust of Kimberly; fo ur grandchildren: Karen (Dave) Killian, Joanne (Don) Sievers, Bill (Jud y) Ver Bust, and Mike (Dawn) Ver Bust; eleven great-grandchildren: Ryan, A my, and Sara Killian; Angela Sievers and her fianc Nathen Fye; Nicole, Ste phanie and Rebecca Sievers; Matt and Tom Ver Bust; Chris and Alyssa Ver Bu st; two sisters: Marie Vander Velden of Appleton and Elaine Vander Zand en of Appleton. Lloyd is further survived by dear family friends, Joe a nd Joan Lewandowski of Kimberly who assisted he and Mildred in countless w ays. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, a broth er Merlin Newhouse, and a sister Hazel (Norbert) Derfus.The funeral liturgy for Lloyd will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2 8, 2003 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly w ith Fr. Richard Ver Bust officiating. Interment will be in the parish ceme tery.     Marie (Newhouse) Vander Velden, age 92, formerly of Cecil, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. Marie was born on December 29, 1913, in Freedom, daughter of Anthony and Anna (Vanden Berg) Newhouse. Marie married Simon "Cy" Vander Velden on June 9, 1937.
    He preceded her in death in June, 1981. They owned and operated Cy & Marie's Tavern in Bonduel for many years.
    Marie was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil and a member of St. Martin Catholic Women's Club. She was a former member of the Cecil Legion Auxiliary and the Cecil Lioness Club. She always enjoyed being able to go bowling.
    She is survived by her son, Jay and his wife Bonnie of Kaukauna; grandson, Mark and his wife Sandy; great-granddaughters, Payton, Carly and Drew; granddaughter, Wende Arnoldussen; and great-granddaughters, Megan and Rachel. She is also survived by her son, Gary and his wife Georgiann of Crivitz; grandsons: Brock, Blaine, Logan and his wife Alee; great-grandsons, Logan and Elijah; granddaughter, Leah (Vander Velden) Thomas and her huband Andrew; a sister-in-law, Martha Vander Velden Schwab of Kaukauna.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Cy; sisters, Hazel Derfus and Elaine (Charles) Vander Zanden; brothers, Merlin Newhouse and Lloyd (Mildred) Newhouse; brothers-in-law: Urban, Lyle, Elmer and Cleborne Vander Velden.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil with Deacon Tom Craig officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at St. Martin Church Cemetery in Cecil. Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Franciscan Care for their years of care and support for their mother.

(Newhouse) Vander Zanden, loving wife, mother, grandmother, grea t-grandmother, age 83, died peacefully with family by her side on Monda y, September 12, 2005 at Kindred Hearts, Kaukauna. Elaine was born in Onei da on December 12, 1921 to Anthony and Anna (Vandenberg) Newhouse. After g raduating from Kimberly High School, she went to Milwaukee to work for t he Army Ordinance Dept. for 4 years. She returned to Kimberly and marri ed Charles Vander Zanden on September 14, 1946.Elaine was a long time member of Holy Name Parish in Kimberly and also S t. Martin's in Cecil, WI. She enjoyed many years of sewing, cooking, golfi ng, gardening, rug making, bowling and fishing. She chose to raise a famil y, rather than pursue her singing career.Elaine is survived by five children: Judy Ziegler (Harley Priebe) of Apple ton, Pat (Mike) Mathis of Madison, Jedd Vander Zanden of Kimberly, Kay Van der Zanden (Randy Ponschock) of Appleton and Nora (Ken) Hermus of Kimberl y. She is further survived by nine grandchildren: Troy (Tracy) Hietpas, Tr avis (Shelly) Hietpas, Melissa Meidl, Jodi (Craig) White, Logan and Land on Schuh, Sarah, Andy (Kelly) and Heather Hermus; eight great-grandchildre n: Zach, Katlyn, Morgan, Denver, Preston, Caden, Brenden and Kendryn.     Richard D. Derfus, 70, passed away Monday, August 16, 2004 at home followi ng a lengthy illness. Richard was born on April 22, 1934 to the late Norbe rt and Nazel (Newhouse) Derfus, in Appleton, WI. He attended Notre Dame Un iversity on a football scholarship for one year and later graduated fr om UW Madison in 1958. On September. 7, 1957 he married the former Barba ra Karweick, in Appleton. They came to Green Bay in 1967 and he was the di strict agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. Richard was a memb er of the Charter Life Underwriter and a member of Million Dollar Round Ta ble. He also participated in Tuesday Morning Christian Mens Business Bib le Study.
    He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Gary ( Marianne) Derfus, Minneapolis, MN and Gregory (Susan) Derfus, Eau Clair e, WI; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Wudeck, Freno, TX; eig ht grandchildren: Katherine, Victoria, Elizabeth, Richard and Samuel Derfu s, Elyse, Benjamin and Robert Wudeck; mother-in-law, Victoria Karweick; o ne brother, Michael (Anne) Derfus, Appleton, WI; one sister, Gail Criscio n, Bradenton, FL; other relatives and friends.
    Richard was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert "Bob" Derfus, Jo hn "Jack" Derfus and Eugene "Gene" Derfus.

    Kaukauna - On January 2, 2018, Jedd James Vander Zanden of Kaukauna, 64, passed away peacefully under the loving care of the staff at Cherry Meadows, after a two year battle with cancer, with his sisters by his side. He was born on August 16, 1953 to the late Charles and Elaine Vander Zanden. He attended Kimberly schools and lived in the Fox Valley all of his life. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed his job at Ariens Company in Brillion. His passion in life was fishing, either by boat or on the ice. The lakes in the northwoods were his favorites- fishing for bluegill, walleye and perch. Because of his love for the outdoors, he was very concerned about the environment and global warming.
    Jedd is survived by his four sisters: Judy Ziegler, Appleton, Pat (Mike) Mathis, Madison, Kay (Randy) Ponschock, Grand Chute, and Nora (Ken) Hermus, Crandon and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
    As per Jedd's wishes he was cremated and all family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on JANUARY 19, 2018 at 1000 ISLANDS NATURE CENTER, 1000 Beaulieu Court, Kaukauna, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. All friends are welcome to share memories and stories of our beloved brother and can be expressed at www.hovcremation.com.
    His request was for all of the proceeds of his estate to go to help families of children with cancer to ease their burden.
    The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of Jedd's caregivers over his two year battle for their care and compassion.
