    Obituary:
    On June 15, 2015, God took our quiet, gentle mother to the home He prepared for her in Heaven. Anita M. Behnke was born April 6, 1920 in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late, Rudolph and Clara (Lerche) Biedenbender.
    On May 19,1938 John W. Behnke and Anita Biedenbender were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1988.
    For ten years Anita worked at a local cheese factory that involved babysitting the owners children and doing various household chores. After marriage Anita and John bought a farm upon which she was involved in all of the day to day tasks.
    Anita will be remembered by her family for the beautiful quilts that she made. She especially enjoyed traveling all over which consisted of the Niagara Falls in 1980 and going to California with a neighbor couple and stopping in Nevada to see Roy Roger's museum in 1978.
    She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, a member of the Ladies aid, serving as president, vice president, and treasurer at various times.
    Mom always prepared a big meal no matter what time visitors showed up. Family and friends that came to visit never went home hungry.
    Survivors include Anita's children, Glenn (Ronell) Behnke of Appleton, Linda (Gary) Streck of Forest Junction , Beulah (Jim Konrad) Behnke of Hilbert, and Coreen Behnke of Hilbert; a daughter-in-law, Marlys Behnke; twelve grandchildren, Jeff (Tammy) Behnke, Keith (Michelle) Behnke, Chad (special friend, Dana) Behnke, Sheri (Greg) Chronis, Scott (Katie) Behnke, Amy (Jeremy) Ryan, Barry (Angela) Streck, Tammy (Brian) Liegl, Dale Streck, Michael (Faye) Fay, Pamela Fay, Brad (Jen) Behnke; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylee, Trevor, Bryce, Kameron, Zachary, Maxwell, Samuel, Elizabeth, Evan, Alex, Cody, Bradyn, Corey, Logan, Kolin, Sofie, Quinton, Maygen, Leah, Breanna, Faith; two step-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Block; two sisters-in-law, Ilene Behnke and Anne Behnke; brother-in-law, Darrol (Betty) Behnke; a niece, Julaine (Chipper) Eick; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
    In addition to her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Behnke; her brother, Marvin (Irma) Biedenbender.
    Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church (43 N. 3rd Street) in Hilbert with the Rev. Timm Heath officiating. Burial to follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at church from 10:00 am to 12:45 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015.
    A memorial fund has been established in Anita's name.
    Anita's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Tim Heath for the many visits and many prayers, Dr. Tipler for the wonderful care over the years, and the caregivers at Chilton Care Center and Century Ridge Assisted living staff, especially Kim, for the outstanding care and compassion shown to their mother. The family would especially like to extend a special thanks to Sandy and Joe Schumacher for keeping their mother company and lending a helping hand when needed.

    Anita married Behnke, John 19 May 1938. John (son of Behnke, Richard and Richter, Lillian) was born 7 Feb 1917; died 25 Feb 1988, Hilbert, Calumet, Wisconsin, USA; was buried , St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Hilbert, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]

    Behnke, Roger AllenAge 58, passed away peacefully with his family by his side,on Saturday, Oc tober 19, 2002 at Cherry Meadows Hospice, after a courageous battle with c ancer. Roger was born October 21, 1943 in Green Bay, WI to John and Ani ta (Biedenbender) Behnke. He married Marlys Holland on June 21, 1969 at Fi rst Lutheran Church in Butterfield, MN. Roger graduated from Hilbert Hi gh School in 1961 and worked with his father on the family's dairy farm f or several years after graduation. He obtained an Associate Degree in Acco unting from Fox Valley Technical Institute in 1975, and was most recent ly employed as a bookkeeper at Ace Hardware in Appleton. He was also a mem ber of Faith Lutheran Church. Roger most cherished his family and coach ed all of his children in their various youth baseball and softball league 's. For many years he enjoyed life as an avid golfer and bowler, but his f ondest times were those spent with his six grandchildren.Roger is survived by his wife, Marlys of 33 years, his three children: She ri (Greg) Chronis, Greenville, WI, Scott (Kaytie) Behnke, Aurora, IL, A my Behnke, Appleton, WI; six grandchildren: Zachary, Maxwell, Samuel and E lizabeth Behnke and Trevor and Bryce Chronis. His mother: Anita Behnke, Hi lbert; brother Glenn (Ronell) Behnke, Appleton; three sisters: Linda (Gar y) Streck, Brillion, Beulah Behnke, Appleton, and Coreen Behnke, Hilber t. His mother-in-law Hertha Holland, Butterfield, MN; brothers-in-law: Orv ille (Muriel) Holland, Minneapolis, MN, Lowell (Lynda) Holland, Apple Vall ey, MN, Bruce (Carol) Holland, Mankato, MN; and many nieces, nephews, aunt s, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by h is father, John W. Behnke, father-in-law Leonard Holland and a nephew, And rew Holland.A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at Faith Lut heran Church (601 E. Glendale Ave.) at 11:00 AM with Reverend Daniel The ws officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 fr om 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home; and also one hour prior to the ser vice at church. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Apple ton. A memorial fund is being established in his name. The family would li ke to extend a special thank you to Theda Care Hospice and the staff at Ch erry Meadows for their kind and compassionate care.Your strength inspired us and your smile we admired.
