    Kempen, Jeffrey AlanJeffrey Alan Kempen, 47, died unexpectedly Friday, July 23, 2004 in Hamle t, NC. He was born April 6, 1957, in Appleton, WI, the son of Esther and t he late Harvey Kempen. He was united in marriage to Vicki Ammons in N. C. He served his country in the U.S, Army, enjoyed laidback country livi ng and had a gift for storytelling. He enjoyed playing cards and making pe ople laugh. He will be greatly missed.He is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughter, Quston (Morris) Livingston; s ons, Tommy and Chris; three grandchildren: Tabatha, TJ and Michaela, a ll of NC; his mother, Esther; four brothers: Dave (Barb), Phil (Nancy), R ex and Kerry; a sister, Cassie (Bob) Gamble; eight nephews: Michael, Tyle r, Mitchell, Robert, Scot, Jacob, Caleb and Isaac; and a niece, Jillian.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey.A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 1, 4 p.m. at Riverview Evan gelical Lutheran Church, 136 W. Seymour St., Appleton.The tears we cry are tears for ourselves because we will miss him so.
