    Marie R. Michalkiewicz, age 99 of Appleton passed away on April 14, 2017. Marie was born on April, 11, 1918 in Appleton to the late Edward and Mary (Weiss) Young. On July 19, 1946 she married Joseph P. Michalkiewicz in Dubuque Iowa. Marie loved to care for her grandchildren when they were young. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a devoted viewer of EWTN. Marie was known for her skills as a baker. She made awesome cinnamon rolls, homemade bisquits, and enjoyed cooking and canning. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading about her favorite president, Abe Lincoln. She liked playing cards, mending clothes, sewing and created many embroidered dish towels for her family and friends. She also enjoyed her trips with Joe to Washington DC and Niagara Falls.
    She will be sadly missed by her children, Jean Michalkiewicz of Fox Crossing, Joan (fiancé Donald Vyvyan) Stellmacher of Kaukauna, James (Donna) Michalkiewicz of Appleton, Linda Flenz of Appleton and Patrick Michalkiewicz of Chicago, grandchildren, Heather Vyvyan, Lori (Bob) Harmon, Mari (Hans) Nelson, Julie (Kelly) Branner, Joseph (friend Amber) Flenz, Sara (Brian) Oberhart, Jennifer (friend Jason) Flenz, Michael Flenz, Katie (Michael) Wagner, Chad (Tracie) Michalkiewicz, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 sister and several other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, grandchild Bonnie Michalkiewicz, son-in-law Dennis Flenz, 9 siblings and many friends.
    There will be a funeral Mass for Marie on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church of Appleton, 312 State Street, at 10:30am. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00am until 10:30am. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery in Appleton.     Lawrence G. "Larry" Young, age 84, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 1, 1920 in Appleton, the son of the late Edward and Mary (Weiss) Young. Larry was a devoted husband and loving father of five daughters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, card playing, golfing and sharing these activities with family and good friends meant much to him.
    He is survived by four daughters: Margaret "Peggy" (Richard) Wilinski of Freedom, Mary (Woody)Garrow of Winneconne, Chris (Bill) Tarrolly of Mequon, WI, and Jean (Jim) Barkholtz of Kimberly; his grandchildren: Mary (Jim) Van Dehy, Larry (Sally) Smarzinski, Gwen (Ken) Schreiber, John (Tammy) Friestrom, Jennee (James) Olson, Matthew Friestrom, Chris (Soni) Haag, Elizabeth (Dominic) Langteau, Tim Haag, Megan, Lauren, and Kristen Tarroly; Sara Probst and fiance Kirk Bell, Chad Probst and fiancee Lori Griesbach, and Emily Probst and fiance Gary Lewis; his sisters: Catherine Stepanski, Marie Michalkiewicz and Joanne (Art) Santkuyl; his brothers: Cyril (Mary Lou) Young, and Jim Young; and 22 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, a daughter Kathy Friestrom, two brothers Edward and Sylvester "Dick"; and three sisters: Rita Brautigam, Leone Arndt and Armella Doro.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday April 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 South State Street in Appleton with the Rev. Michael O'Rourke officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Appleton. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.

    John (Jack) M. Stepanski, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 20th at his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born on August 15, 1934 to John and Catherine (Young) Stepanski in Appleton, Wisconsin. On August 25, 1956 he was united in marriage to Edith (Edie) Sheppard. He worked for many years at John Strange Paper Company until his retirement. Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting in his early years with family and friends along with visiting neighbors as they walked past his favorite resting spot in his garage, which earned him the title "The Mayor of Bellaire".
    Jack is survived by his wife Edie of 60 years; daughters, Cindy Anderson, Cheryl Stepanski, Laurie (Eric) Palmquist; Grandchildren, Ryan (Angela) Anderson, Sara (Brett) Pavlak, Ashley (John) Christianson, Michele Gruse, Cody and Nicole Palmquist; Great grandchildren, Paige Pavlak, Landen and Bentley Christianson and Grant and baby Anderson; sisters, Janet Gugala, Mary Piette and sister in law Carol Stepanski, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors who watched over him for many years.
    Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brother James and infant son Stephen.
    The family would like to give a big thank you to Heartland Hospice for the care and support they have given to our Dad the last 6 months, especially Christine and Dani.
    A celebration of Jack's life will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at Primo's in Oshkosh from 4pm to 8pm. We would like family and friends to stop and share memories, fishing stories and/or tell a few jokes of dad.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jack's name.

    James Robert Stepanski, Menasha, age 68, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1941, in Appleton, son of the late John and Catherine (Young) Stepanski. Jim married Carol Doering in September of 1963, in Kaukauna. He retired after 35 years of service as a Customer Service Supervisor for the Menasha Utilities. Jim was a past president of the Menasha Athletic Association and he also served on the Menasha Park & Recreation Board. In his younger years he was very active as a pitcher in Fast Pitch Softball. His passion in life was his gardening and growing flowers. Jim loved playing with his grandchildren, fishing and enjoying all that nature had to offer.
    Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carol Stepanski; two sons: Jeff (Barb) Stepanski, Scott (Peggy) Stepanski; a daughter, Deb (Marty) Van Krey; four grandchildren: Mason and Madelyn Stepanski, Blayne and Elisabeth Van Krey; a brother, John (Edie) Stepanski; two sisters: Mary (Gene) Piette, Janet Gugala; and best friend Bill Gammey. Jim is further survived by four brothers-in-law: Ron (Nancy) Doering, Rich (Lynn) Doering, Dennis Doering, Leon (Mary) Doering; seven sisters-in-law: Diane (Cy) Schmidt, Nancy (Chuck) Weyenberg, Cathy (Kevin) Kavanaugh, Sue (Mark) Vander Heiden, Linda (Kevin) Wirth, Jane (Terry) Waters, Jean (Steve) Leick; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

    David Piette, age 50, of Neenah, passed away on November 16, 2017. David was born on September 22, 1967, son of Eugene and Mary (Stepanski) Piette.
    He is survived by his mother, Mary, his children, Simon and Jane, his brothers, Patrick (Diane), Joseph (Maria), and John (Joanne Kimata) Piette, a special family friend Mike Carroll, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
    David was preceded in death by his father, Eugene.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.
