    John Frank Biese, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Rhinehardt Blese, town of Buchanan, died Monday morning in St. Blizabeth hospital in Appleton following an operation. The funeral was held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning from St. Mary church with the Rev. F. X. Stembrecher in charge of the services. Interment was in St. Mary cemetery.

    Bies, Raymond M., KaukaunaAge 92, died Sunday, September 21, 2003 at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. Ray w as born November 29, 1910 in Kaukauna; son of the late Rainier and Mary (L oderbauer) Bies. On July 9, 1940, he married the former Agnes Schmidt at S t. Francis Catholic Church, Hollandtown. The couple enjoyed 52 years of ma rriage together prior to her death on March 13, 1993. Ray enjoyed farmi ng and was a 35 year partner in Jonen and Bies Construction in Kaukauna. D uring the 1950's they developed the Welhouse Farm into the present subdivi sion that surrounds St. Al's Parish. He was a charter member of St. Vince nt DePaul Society and an active member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Ka ukauna.He is survived by his children, Ray and Mary Ellen Bies of Glendale, WI, G erald and Barbara Bies of Kaukauna, Carol and Jerry Sanderfoot of Combin ed Locks and Don and Ann Bies of Winneconne, WI, 12 grandchildren, four gr eat grandchildren, his wife's family and numerous nieces and nephews. He w as preceded in death by his wife, two sisters, Lena Gehrig and Margaret Si ebers and one brother, John Bies.The funeral service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHU RCH, Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Ma ry Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call directly at the church from 2: 00 pm Wednesday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memori al is being established in his name.     Lucille A. Weyenberg, age 67, of Kimberly, passed away at her home on Tues day, November 29, 2005, following a courageous battle with multiple illnes ses. Lucille was born in rural Kaukauna on November 14, 1938, daught er of the late Christian and Lena (Bies) Gerig. On January 21, 1958, she m arried Daniel Weyenberg at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna; he surv ives.She treasured each day she was given, and enjoyed time spent at the cotta ge on Berry Lake as well as spending time with her family and friends. Eve ryone will remember Lucy as an awesome cook, and a dedicated and loving st ay-at-home mother to her children. Over the years, she held several part-t ime jobs, but dearest to her heart were the years she spent at West Side E lementary School where she was known as "Grandma" to many through the seve nteen years she worked as a noon hour supervisor. Lucy was the glue that h eld the family together, and her love, laughter, and generosity will be gr eatly missed.Lucille is survived by her husband, Daniel Weyenberg of Kimberly; three da ughters: Christine Soper of Cecil and her children Ashley, Amber, Jorda n, and Haley; Shari Weyenberg of Appleton; Wendy (Todd) Heider of Greenvil le and their sons Justin and Bradley; three sons: Bruce (Susan) Weyenbe rg of Appleton and their children Jarrod and Danielle and Alexis and Alici a; Timothy (Cheryl) Weyenberg of Seymour and their children Travis and Dan ielle; and James (Keri) Weyenberg of Milwaukee; two great-grandchildren: E lizabeth Soper and Aliyah Weyenberg; two sisters: Dorothy (Norbert) Dietz en and Dolores (Wenzel) Hoefler, both of Kaukauna; and by Dan's sister a nd brothers: Elaine (Bob) Schubring of Kaukauna; Ron (Zona) Weyenberg of K imberly; and Pat (Lorna) Weyenberg of Freedom.
    Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Kathleen (Donald) D ietzen; nephews: Arlen Dietzen, Jerome Stoffel, and Steven Stoffel; a nie ce Ann Ridgely, and by Dan's parents Clarence and Eva (Williamson) Weyenbe rg.
    The funeral liturgy for Lucille will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Decem ber 3, 2005 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly wi th Fr. David Belongea, OFM, Cap. officiating. Interment will be in the par ish cemetery.     Bies, Gerald J.Gerald J. Bies “Jerry,” Kaukauna, age 60, died Monday June 21, 2004. Jer ry was born July 27, 1943 to the late Raymond and Agnes (Schmidt) Bi es in Appleton. He married the former Barbara Hoehne on October 16, 19 71 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She survives. Jerry worked as a heavy eq uipment operator, was a member of Local Operating Engineers Union #139 a nd contributed his time and skill to the building of much of the Fox Citie s. Jerry enjoyed his workshop, where he could engage his mechanical min d. He recently realized his dream of owning an RV and traveling around t he United States. The winters he spent in Brownsville TX sharing stories w ith friends were priceless to him.Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Bies; his four children: Julie Bie s, Ken Bies, Greg (Jaime) Bies and their son, Morgan, and Nicholas Bies; t wo brothers: Raymond (Mary Ellen) Bies and Donald (Ann) Bies and one siste r, Carol (Jerry) Sanderfoot. He is further survived by his mother and fath er in law: Bob and Marjorie (Pein) Hoehne; three brothers-in-law: Bob (Sha ron) Hoehne, Jerry (Mary) Hoehne and Don (Marcia) Hoehne; two sisters in l aw, Lynn (John) Stumpf and Mary (Kevin) Cox; and many nieces, nephews a nd friends.
    His parents preceded him in death.A tribute and prayer service for Jerry will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday Ju ne 24, 2004 at ST.     Carol (Bies) Sanderfoot, 59, Combined Locks, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at home. She was born March 18, 1948, daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes (Schmidt) Bies.
    She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jerry; two daughters, Lisa Sanderfoot, De Pere; and Amy (Kevin) Carstens, Suamico; two grandchildren, Anna and Erik Carstens; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Raymond (Mary Ellen) Bies, Cedarburg; Donald (Ann) Bies, Neenah; and Barbara Bies, Little Chute. She is further survived by her husband's family, Cookie Sanderfoot, Merlin (Mary) Sanderfoot, all of Kaukauna; Marv Sanderfoot, Oshkosh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerry Bies.
    All family and friends are invited to a gathering in Carol's honor to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Van Abel's Supper Club in Hollandtown, for sharing a meal and memories.
    Memorials in honor of Carol have been established for CaringBridge.org (visit carolsanderfoot) and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, Julie Bies (teamintraining.org).

    Carol has left us. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, friend and teacher. All of us will miss her dearly. Whenever I look at my daughters and grandchildren, I will see their mother and grandmother. I know Carol has touched many lives and I will always remember her that way. I wish she were still here to enjoy life, but I know her pain and suffering has ended. Many times Carol had told me that she was too young to die. She had so many things that she wanted to do with Lisa, Amy, Anna, Erik, friends and students. Last Saturday, on our way home from the gymnastics meet and hockey game, she said that it was the little things in life that mean so much. Remember Carol for all the different lives she has affected in a truly positive way...

    Nick Bies, 30, passed away following a very unexpected and brief illness on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Nick was born in Appleton on February 27, 1980, the son of the late Jerry Bies and Barbara (Hoehne) Bies, whom Nick made his home with in Little Chute. Nick was currently employed as a lab technician at Pace Analytical. He loved sports of all kinds, but especially enjoyed following the Milwaukee Brewers, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Detroit Red Wings. In the summer he enjoyed softball, and in the winter, bowling and fantasy football, but anytime at all was a good time to spend with friends at the 10th Frame or Dr. Jekyll's in Appleton. There he often carried on deep discussions about countless topics like his philosophy on life, politics, and religion which he always seemed to know a lot about. Nick was special that way he had the gift of just knowing how to be with people. And they gathered around him. He could make friends very quickly, and more than likely, they were bound to be longtime friends after spending some time with Nick. He loved everyone, and knew how to make others feel happy and loved. He always listened and never judged; he always made your day better for being with him.
    Nick is survived by his mother, Barbara Bies, Little Chute; two brothers, Ken Bies, Appleton; and Greg (Jaime) Bies, Platteville, and their son Morgan; sister, Julie Bies, Dallas; a special uncle, Don (Ann) Bies, and their sons Joe, Dan, and Andy were like a second family to Nick. Other survivors include many cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless Facebook friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bies; his grandparents, Bob (Marjorie) Hoehne and Ray (Agnes) Bies; uncle, Jerry Hoehne; and an aunt, Carol Bies Sanderfoot.
    Family and friends of Nick are invited to gather at Van Abel's of Hollandtown on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 4 until 7 p.m. There, memories will be shared, stories will be told, and Nick will be loved and remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial fund to honor Nick's memory.
    Nick, the world will be less of a place without you. We will miss you dearly.
