    Hopfensperger, Roland EdwardRoland Edward Hopfensperger, Appleton, age 92, died at home Monday mornin g, August 30, 2004 surrounded by his family, extended family and friend s. Roland was born January 9, 1912 in Darboy, Wis., to the late William a nd Anny (Nettekoven) Hopfensperger. He was united in marriage to Angeli ne Hartzheim, sharing 55 years together before her death on January 15, 19 91. He later married Liz McCarthy on September 11, 1993. Roland found ed R. Hopfensperger Construction and R. Hopfensperger Realty. His greate st sources of pride were his family and his business. He enjoyed golfin g, playing cards, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his wife Liz, children: Ron and Marlene Hopfensperg er - Naples, FL., Maryjane and Jon Ashman - Turlock, CA,. Tom and Cindy Ho pfensperger - Shiocton; son-in-law Bob Hoersch (Katie) - Appleton; a sist er Ann Wildenberg - Kimberly; grandchildren Lori Hoersch, Steve (Bonnie) H oersch, Jeff (Karen) Hoersch, Tracy (Rob) Belling, Chris (Mark) Klaubau f, Tim (Angie) Hopfensperger, Cara (Brian) Outlaw, Jody (Roger) Jorge, Ch ad (Leigh) Hopfensperger, Kim Hopfensperger, Jenni Hopfensperger; 13 gre at grandchildren; step-children Cindy and Bill Nack, Sheila and Ken Schuel er, Mary and Mark Olson, and Kelly and Sue McCarthy; step-grandchildren Aa ron, Jamie, and Joel Nack; Ken Jr. and Kerri Schueler; Mike and Matt Stolz man; Nate, Aaron, Steve, and Angie Olson; Meggie, Don, and Kyle McCarth y; and a step-great grandchild.Roland was preceded in death by his first wife Angeline, a daughter Shirl ey Hoersch, a son Terry Hopfensperger, five sisters and five brothers.The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday September 1 st at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S, State St., with Fr. Michael O'Rour ke officiating. Friends may call directly at the church from 9 a.m. Wednes day until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund h as been established for Affinity Hospice.The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to all who helped dur ing Roland's illness.
