    Zwiers, Morris M.
    Morris M. Zwiers, 233 S. Sidney St., Kimberly, age 92, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, November 24, 2008. He was born in Oss, Holland on September 18, 1916, son of the late Frank and Marie Zwiers, and had been a Kimberly resident for the passed 58 years. Morris was proud to work for Thilmany's for 23 years and enjoyed his active 30 years of retirement. He was particularly proud of his family, especially his great-granddaughter, Phoenix, who kept him laughing and smiling for the last 20 months. His wife of 68 years, Gertrude, preceded him in death on May 4, 2004.
    Morris is survived by his daughter, Carol Hooyman, Freedom; two sons and daughters-in-law: Leonard and Grace Zwiers, Forest Junction; James and Hideko Zwiers, Kimberly; eight grandchildren: Don (Sharon) Hooyman, Tim (Tracy) Hooyman and their dog, Munch, John (Kelly) Hooyman, Wayne (Sandy) Hooyman, Jeff (Chris) Hooyman, and Jamie, Jack "JJ", and Miki (Tamara) Zwiers; great-grandchildren: Nanette Gerritts, Ryan, Brooke, Luke, Kori, Matthew, Alex, Carter and MiliJo Hooyman, Pheonix and Maylahni Zwiers; great great-grandchildren: Hunter and Spencer Gerritts; sister Anna; and brother, Michael; and other family members and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude; grandson, Buddy Hooyman; and brothers: Antone, Frank, Arnold, and Carl Zwiers; and son-in-law, Don Hooyman.
    The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008, at the funeral home with John Hartzheim officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
    The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Theda Care at Home Hospice for their wonderful Care.

    Sam left this world peacefully on 3/10/13 after a three year battle with cancer, He was born 11/16/44. He is a proud and respected member of the DC Eagles MC.
    He is survived by his wife Grace Zwiers, sister and brother Carol Hooyman, and Jim (Hideko) Zwiers, and nephews Don (sharon) Hooyman, Tim (Tracy) Hooyman, John (Kelli) Hooyman, Wayne (Sandy) Hooyman, Jeff (Kris) Hooyman, Jamie Ziwers, Jack (Val) Zwiers, Miki Zwiers, Nieces Phoenix & Maylahni Zwiers. He is also survived by his many brothers & sisters of the DC Eagles.
    He was preceded in death by his parents Morris & Gertrude Zwiers.
    Sam was a member of the US Navy, and served two tours of duty on the USS Forestal aircraft carrier.
    On this earth Sam rode with the Eagles, he now rides on Angle wings.
    A memorial service will be held this saturday 3/16/13 12:00 noon at the DC Eagle clubhouse, N2621 Cty. Rd. JJ (Winneconnie Ave) Neenah. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.

    Obituary:
    Ryan D. Hooyman, of Brillion, age 29, our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend was taken from us to be with God on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Ryan was a great fan and avid collector of NASCAR, loved shooting pool, watching movies, cracking and playing jokes, and above all laughing with family and friends. Being a big kid at heart, children adored him, especially his young nephews. Ryan truly enjoyed his recent experiences traveling across America, especially the opportunity to work on the fishing boats in Florida. He was preparing to move on to his ultimate adventure by moving to Alaska and working on the fishing boats on the Bering Sea.
    He is survived by his parents: Don (Sharon) Hooyman Jr. and Lavonne "Bonnie" (Dan) Verbeten; two brothers and two sisters: Nanette (John) Gerrits, Eric Verbeten, Brooke Hooyman and Luke Hooyman; two nephews: Hunter and Spencer Gerrits; paternal grandmother, Carol Hooyman; maternal grandmother, Blanche Vandenberg; stepgrandparents: Ralph and Evie Verbeten and Verl and Marian Parker. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
    He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Donald Hooyman Sr. and Quin Vandenberg; and an uncle, Terry Vandenberg.
    Memorial Service for Ryan will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Ryan's name is being established.
    Ryan left us too soon. He will be forever in our hearts and terribly missed.
