    Loretta Ann Arnold, age 94, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side on Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2015. She was born on August 18, 1920, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Van Camp) Wittman. Loretta was united in marriage to Wilmer "Bill" Arnold on May 3, 1941, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. After living in Appleton for a short while, they decided to purchase a farm in the Town of Center in April of 1942. Bill preceded her in death in September of 1967. She worked at Peerless Laundry for 28 years, retiring in August of 1985. Loretta was proud to stay on the farm until November 5, 2014, when The Bridges of Appleton became her new home.
    Loretta was a devoted mother and wonderful cook. She has taught her family the true meaning of life's celebration with many of her own home cooked meals made with love throughout her years. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, crocheting, embroidering, dancing and listening to Danny O'Donnell, and going on hundreds of mystery trips with the late Elaine Kurey and Phyllis Brown with Have Group Will Travel. She also enjoyed playing sheepshead with her family and rarely missed a Saturday night with Lawrence Welk.
    Loretta will be missed by her two daughters: Janet (Donald) Spaude, Shiocton and Joyce (Roland) Young, Shiocton; daughter-in-law Karen Arnold, Black Creek; six grandchildren: Karen (Brian) Fischer, Kris (Dave) VanDenBosch, Amy (Joe) Olson, Tim (Bobbi Jo Figlinski) Arnold, Michelle Arnold, and Todd Arnold; six great grandchildren: Ashley, Alex and Austin VanDenBosch, and Jayme, Carlee and Emily Olson; and sister-in-law Tootie Wittman. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Nellie Wittman, husband Wilmer, infant daughter Shirley on June 22, 1942, son Leroy Arnold on February 27, 2004, two brothers: Clarence "Shorty" (Helen) Wittman and Richard Wittman, mother and father-in-law Henry and Goldie (Schucknecht) Arnold, five brothers-in-law: Emmett (Marie), Ervin (Mildred), Alvin (Clarissa), Merlin, and Vernon (Jean) Arnold, and a sister-in-law Rosella Arnold.
    A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Monday, January 19, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St., Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. DUE TO REMODELING, the service will take place in the gymnasium located directly behind the church. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, January 18, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, and directly in the gymnasium at church on Monday from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The family would like to thank the staff at The Bridges of Appleton and the staff in the ER and 8th floor at Appleton Medical Center.
    As Loretta would say, Good Bye - for now.

    Arnold, LeRoy J. age 54, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 27th, 2004. He was born Aug. 7, 1949 in the Town of Center to the late Wilmer and to Loretta (Whittman) Arnold. He graduated in 1967 from Hortonville High School. On March 15, 1970 he was united in marriage to his friend, wife, and caregiver Karen Woehler. LeRoy farmed, raced stock cars, and was employed by Presto Products up until 1976 when he was injured in a stock car accident leaving him a quadriplegic. He was a lifetime member of the Fox River Racing Club and was an avid Nascar fan who took pride in the Earnhardt Racing Team -- past and present -- along with hot rod Chevrolets. LeRoy had a strong faith in God and will to live and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton.
    LeRoy will be missed by his beloved wife, Karen Arnold; three children: Tim (fiance Bobbie Jo Figlinski) Arnold, Michelle Arnold, and Todd Arnold, all of Black Creek; his mother, Loretta Arnold, Appleton; two sisters, Janet (Donald) Spaude, and Joyce (Roland) Young, both of Shiocton; a sister-in-law, Joanne (James) Conradt,Black Creek. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
    LeRoy is preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Arnold; an infant sister, Shirley Mae Arnold; paternal grandparents, Henry and Golde Arnold; maternal grandparents, Mike and Nellie Whittman; his father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Elna Woehler; brother-in-law, Vern Woehler; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Kust.
    A Funeral Service for LeRoy will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 323 N. Morrison St., Appleton with the Rev. Ralph Waack officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brettschneider Trettin Lederer Funeral Chapel, and directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the nurses who brought smiles to and cared for LeRoy throughout the years. The staff at Theda Care at Home. A very special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Whiteside for his compassion and expertise. And thanks to you Dad for all your love you gave to us. You will always be our #1 hero and champion now that you made your final lap into victory lane. God Bless! We will miss you!
