    On August 15, 2014, the Lord opened wide his loving arms to welcome his servant Ilo Isabel Blumreich (nee Foate), to be with him in heaven. Ilo was born on November 4, 1915, daughter of the late Walter and Olga (Mosling) Foate in Mosling, WI. She lived to be 98. Ilo had the ability to look at people through God's eyes and see the good in them. She had a heart full of love, and because of this, showed compassion and empathy to family and friends alike. She also was a true source of help when help couldn't be found. As she stands before God, He will say "Ilo, job well done, my servant".
    The past 22 years, Ilo had been residing at Greenfield Manor in Little Chute, WI. In February, she resided at The Bridges of Appleton (formerly Appleton Health Care), where she passed. The family acknowledges the staff there for their loving care of Ilo in her last months of life on this earth. She is joining her cherished husband Clayton Blumreich and beloved son, Jack Blumreich in heaven, her parents, Walter and Olga Foate and six siblings: Walter, Earl, Sydney, John and Opal Severson and Clayton's parents: John and Anna Blumreich.
    She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Doug) Potter, Wauwatosa; a daughter-in-law, Joan Blumreich (nee Nettekoven), Kaukauna; a sister, Faye Bailey, San Diego; her Godchild, Winton Severson, Appleton. Ilo was blessed with grandchildren: Jaye Schultz (nee Blumreich) Appleton, Jim Blumreich and Gail Wians, Appleton, Jerri Blumreich and Joe Blumreich, Kaukauna, Brian and Sarah Potter, Milwaukee. She was thrilled that she was able to watch them grow and God continued to bless her with great-grandchildren: Ben and Jessica Schultz, Little Chute, Chad and Emily Kolasinski, Menasha, Philip Schultz, Texas, and Joshua Blumreich, Greenleaf. Her great-great-grandchildren are Riley, Aiden, and Jack Schultz and Shelby and Clayton Kolasinski. She loved each one of them dearly. They were her joy, and she was proud of them all.
    Ilo was also a good friend and took joy in her friendships. Many of her friends have preceded her in death, however, she was strong in her faith and realized she would greet them again in heaven. Her friends who survive her were a blessing in her life. There were many opportunities for Ilo to serve her Lord. She was a faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna where she served as a member of the Ladies Aid Society, Altar Guild, Church Choir, and Lutherans Women's Missionary Society. Bible class participation was essential to her faith as she studied God's word so she could live her life in service to her Lord.
    Funeral services for Ilo will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 804 Grignon Street, Kaukauna with Revs. Tim Wilkens and Curtis Mau officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Family and friends will be received at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and again at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Ilo's wishes were that memorials be given to God's glory. Meaningful to her were the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society, Central Africa Medical Mission, Trinity Lutheran School "wish fund", and Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund. www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
