Obituary:
Joseph Horn, 85, Little Chute, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father David Funk, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. A complete obituary will be in Monday's edition.

Joseph Horn, 85, Little Chute, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. Joe was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Hilbert, son of the late Joseph and Leona (Schmidt) Horn Sr. Joe married Ethelyn "Pooch" Kobs on April 3, 1948, and they recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. Mr. Horn was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. He was also a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
He was a self-employed truck driver for Landwehr Materials for 35 years and was the owner of Horn Precast. Joe enjoyed family camping trips in his younger years and time spent with children and grandchildren at his cottage on Lee Lake.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Ethelyn "Pooch"; seven children, William (Deb) Horn, Ronald (Nancy) Horn, David (Karen) Horn, Richard (Karen) Horn, Nancy "Putts" (Joey) Brockman, Mary (Patrick) Collins, Joseph (Ann) Horn; grandchildren, Melissa (Adam) Horn; Melanie, Kimberly and Anthony Horn; Suzanne Horn; Adam (Angela) Horn; Kelly Horn; Marie, Mike and Joseph Horn; Scott (special friend, Gwen) and Kelsey Collins; David and Ben Brockman; Ryan (Amanda) Huss; Cory (Deena) Huss; Kyle Huss; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Isaac, Mallory, Hayden and Hailey; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Darwin and Clara Kobs, Dora Kobs; special friends, Don and Carol Umentum and Lil Pasek; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Leona; daughter, Marie; sister, Grace; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Anna Kobs; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Dorothy Kobs, Marvel Kobs, Genevieve and George Hermes.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. David Funk, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass. Military honors will be performed by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute, and the U.S. Army following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff of Parkside Care Center, especially Olga and Kelly, along with Fresenius Dialysis Center and Dr. Alan Cherkasky for their support over the years.
