Obituary:
Adolph "Mike" Henn, age 88, Seymour, was reunited with his wife Josephine of 62 years on Thursday evening, July 28, 2011. He was born September 25, 1922 in Briarton, son of the late Charles and Anna (Leirich) Henn.
On August 18, 1945, he was united in marriage to Josephine Vande Corput. She preceded him in death on October 23, 2007. The couple celebrated 62 years of marriage together. They farmed from 1957 until their retirement in 1976.
Mike was a faithful and active member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour.
He enjoyed farming and working on farm machinery, "coaching" the Green Bay Packers, hunting, listening to the weather scanner, and playing sheepshead.
Survivors include his children: Carol (Perry) Pierre, Seymour; Gary (Kathy) Henn, Green Bay; Kelvan (Patti) Henn, Darboy; Connie (Greg) Sherman, Appleton; Brian (Jean) Henn, Arbor Vitae; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister Anna (Clayton) Gorges, Menasha; 2 brothers: Robert (Elaine) Henn, Felix Henn, both of South Milwaukee; 4 sisters-in-law: Rosetta Henn, Seymour; Marjorie Henn, Clintonville; Josie Henn, Shawano; Marlene (John) Schultz, Milwaukee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mike was preceded in death by a granddaughter Chanda Kenney; great grandchild Fletcher John Henn; 4 brothers: George, Jerome, Anthony, and Aloysius; 4 sisters: Gertrude, Agnes, Sr. Margaret Anne, and Edith; infant brother and infant twin sisters. Also preceded by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 4 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 1, 2011 at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father Bob Kabat officiating. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com.
