    RICHARD CAVIL DIES AFTER 6-WEEK ILLNESS Special to Post-Crescent Kimberly- - Richarcd J. Cavil, 33,died at about 7 o'clock Thursday morning at Appleton, after an illness of about 6 weeks. He is survived by his widow; five children. Richard, Charolette, Jenrose, Rosemary and Gloria; two brothers Frank Cavil of California and Joseph Cavil of De Pere; and one sister, Mrs. D. Latus of De Pere. Mr. Cavil lived here 20 years. He wss born at Waukesha in 1894 and was married to Miss Josephine Gunschevic of Kimberly, in 1912. Mr. Cavil was a member of the Modern Woodmen and up to last year played on baseball nines of Kimberly and Combined Locks. He was an employee of the Combined Locks Paper company for the past five years. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at Holy Name church with the Rev. F. X. Van Nistleroy in charge. Burial will be in Holy Name cemetery.

    Youth Is Killed In Hunting Accident WAUPACA, Wis. Richard Cavil, 22, of Klmberly, was killed while hunting near here yesterday by the accidental dlscharge of a gun carried by his companion, Frank Stuyvenberg, also of Klmberly. The gun caught in a fence that Stuyvenberg was crawling through. It discharged and the shot entered Cavil's side. Stuyvenberg drove Cavil to a hospital here but he was declared dead.

    Charlotte Zephirin, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, July 16, 2007, at her apartment in Kaukauna. Charlotte was born March 28, 1914, in Kimberly, daughter of the late Richard and Josephine (Gunschewick) Cavil. Charlotte attended Holy Name School in Kimberly, and spent her freshman year of high school in Canada. She returned to Kimberly in time to graduate in 1933. On September 10, 1940, she married Bill Zephirin at Holy Name Church in Kimberly and worked at the Kimberly-Clark Mill until 1940, at which time she and Bill began their tavern business. They operated establishments in both Appleton and Auburndale for many years. Charlotte lived for a time in Wisconsin Rapids, but when her husband Bill died in 1983, she moved back to the Valley to be near to her children.
    She is survived by a daughter, Zona (Ron) Weyenberg of Kimberly; a son: Craig Zephirin of Appleton; four grandsons: Brian (Diane) Weyenberg, Gary (Sandra) Weyenberg, David (Lisa) Weyenberg, and Mark (Beth) Weyenberg; twelve great-grandchildren: Mike (Stephanie) Weyenberg, Ryan Weyenberg and his fiancee Heather, Curtis Weyenberg, Taylor Weyenberg, Cassie Weyenberg, Laura Ebbens, Sierra Weyenberg, Aspen Weyenberg, Wren Weyenberg, Justin Weyenberg, Alex Weyenberg, and Megan Weyenberg; two great-great-grandchildren: Asia and Soren Weyenberg; three sisters: Genrose Staley of Little Chute, Rosemary Tousey of Appleton, and Gloria Kraft of Kimberly.
    Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 1983, a son Willie in 1995, a brother Richard Cavin, Jr. in 1935, as well as many other relatives and friends.
    The funeral liturgy for Charlotte will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - Kimberly Campus with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the hour of the services.

    Staley, Genrose E.
    Genrose Staley, 92, Little Chute, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Richard and Josephine Cavil. Genrose married Leo (Baker) Verstegen in 1938, and he preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1948. She raised six children under the age of seven years alone. After her children were grown, she married Henry "Jack" Staley and he preceded her in death. She was employed at Tony Wonder's Club in Little Chute for 17 years. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, the Golden Agers, in which she was president for 11 years, and the American Legion Auxiliary Jacob Coppus Post. She and her friends from her school days were known as the Golden Girls and loved to go out to eat and talk. She was an avid sheephead player and enjoyed watching golf, especially Tiger Woods.
    Genrose is survived by her daughters, Shawn (Kenneth) Olm, Rib Mountain; Sharyl (James) Evers, Appleton; Rochelle (James) Stoffel, Little Chute; and Sharlene "Babe" (Kenneth) Peeters, Freedom; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary Tousey, Appleton; and Gloria Kraft, Kimberly; two sisters-in-law, Rita (Urban) De Bruin, Combined Locks; and Lillian (Stanley) Verstegen, Little Chute. She is also survived by her best friend from childhood, Edna Strick, Kimberly; and other good friends, Sis Weyenberg, Little Chute; Elva Wildenberg, Kaukauna; David and Rosalie Rausch, Seymour; and Sandi Hinc, Kimberly.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon Verstegen; a son, Keith Verstegen; a grandson, Joseph Evers; a brother, Richard Cavil; a sister, Charlotte Zepherin; numerous in-laws; and good friend, Duce Weyenberg.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at St. John Nepomucene Church with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

    Craig J. Zephirin, 63, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Brewster Village. Craig was born on March 4, 1953 to Raymond and Charlotte (Cavil) Zephirin.
    Craig is survived by his sister Zona (Ronald) Weyenberg, one aunt Gloria Kraft, four nephews; Brian (Diane) Weyenberg, Gary Weyenberg, David (Lisa) Weyenberg, and Mark Weyenberg, twelve great nieces and nephews and along with four great- great nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Wilbur.
    Craig was a longtime resident at the Agape 6 group home. As his health needs changed, he moved to Brewster Village in October 2011 where he has resided since. A sincere thank you to Dr. R. Kerswill, Dr. D. Schults and the other doctors, nursing staff and caregivers at Agape 6 and Brewster Village past and present. You gave Craig wonderful care while treating him with respect, compassion, kindness and love. Also to Sandy Dunsirn his caregiver for all she did for him.
    The funeral liturgy for Craig will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E.     Richard W. "Doc" "Dick" Tousey, Little Chute, age 73, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at his home. He was born in Kaukauna on October 25, 1939 to the late Arden and Rosmary (Cavil) Tousey. Richard served in the Navy from 1957 to 1963 and was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258. He married Linda Lambie on December 29, 1962 at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna. Dick retired as a Shipping Supervisor from Appleton Papers Combined Locks Mill in 2001 where coworkers and friends knew him as "Shippin' Dick." He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 10919.
    Dick's hobbies include: travelling, playing softball in his younger years, being a Boy Scout Master in Little Chute, camping at Enchanted Forest Campground in Wild Rose for 43 years, any building project, operating a chainsaw, spending time with his grandchildren, teasing waitresses at their favorite local restaurants, watching the Green Bay Packers, playing cards with friends and making special birthday phone calls. Most of all he loved attending daily Mass at St. John's and was looking forward to reclaiming his self-assigned pew.
    Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; children: Mike (LuAnne) of Pleasant Prairie; Buck of Fremont; Jill (Jerry) Burgbacher of Darboy; and Tara (Matt) Fritsch of Little Chute; grandchildren: Ian and Delaney Tousey, Nic Tousey, Sam and Shayna Chartier, Jeremy Burgbacher, Jayme (Ryan) Albrecht, Joy and Jill Burgbacher, Austin, Jacob, Gavin and Emma Fritsch; 10 great grandchildren and expecting one in October; siblings: Arda (Bob) Smith, Tim (Vicki), Gloria (Bob) Verkuilen and Jolayne (Ron) Van Landveldt; and Linda's siblings: Bob (Joy), Donna and Ric Lambie. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Patricia (Oudenhoven) Lambie.
    Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Military rites conducted by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 will follow. Committal St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.     Sheila A. Evers, Little Chute, age 40, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 24, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1969, to Jim and Sharyl Evers. Sheila was a graduate of Little Chute High School and Lakeland College.
    Sheila is survived by her parents, Jim and Sharyl Evers, Freedom; brothers: Jeff (Maureen) Evers, Combined Locks; Steve (Sue) Evers, Freedom; and her sister, Sharla (Pete) Adrian, Wrightstown; nieces and nephews: Danielle and Derek Evers, Matthew and Courtney Evers, Fisher and Cale Adrian. The Best Aunt Ever! Aunts and Uncles: JoAnn and Darwin Schmalz, Katie DeWitt, Theresa and Jerry Martzahl, Jan Evers, Shawn and Ken Olm, Rochelle and Jim Stoffel, Babe and Ken Peeters, Ruth and Dennis Olson and close friends, Jeanne Schirmer and Jody Schultz.
