    Kneip, Agnes A.(Gehrman), Appleton, age 91, died of heart failure with her children at her side at Brewster Village in Appleton on Monday, June 25. 2007. She was born in Appleton on January 3, 1916, the daughter of the late Max and Amelia (Spreeman) Gehrman. Agnes attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She graduated from Appleton (Morgan) High School. On June 9, 1934, she married her husband of 37 years, Norman Kneip. Norman preceded her in death in 1972. Agnes worked at The Union at Lawrence University for 25 years and later became a certified nursing assistant at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was proud to be the eldest C.N.A. graduate at the age of 55. Her retirement years were spent visiting her children around the globe and volunteering her time at St. Joseph Food Pantry and St. Joseph's Parish Office.
    Agnes is survived by her children: Barbara (Bob) Kunstman, Lee (special friend, JoAnn Leddy) Kneip, Mary (Paul) Foegen of Appleton; Janice (Sam) Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO, Lynne Satterlee of Appleton, Ann Mewshaw of Calabasas, CA, Christopher (special friend, Jo Ann Erdmann) Kneip of Appleton, and Jillian (Gary) Lallensack of Appleton; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gordon (Dorothy) Gehrman of Kimberly.
    She is preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Kneip in 2003 sisters: Mary, Judy and Helen; and her brothers: Max, Clarence and Herman.
    Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Fr. David Belongea officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega.
    The family expresses a special thank you to the staff at Brewster Village for all of their kindness and care.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Agnes' name is being established for retired clergy and nuns.

    Gordon F. Gehrman, Kimberly, age 84, died Thursday February 23, 2012 at Cherry Meadows. He was born in Appleton on April 18, 1927 to the late Max, Sr. and Amelia (Spreeman) Gehrman. As a child, Gordon and his father spent many hours fishing on Lake Butte des Mortes. Sharing that hobby and closeness with his dad were things he would treasure his entire life. Gordon enlisted into the Army during World War II and served in Iceland. Upon his return, he was welcomed into the home of his brother Clarence and his wife Evelyn. It was then that he started his employment at Kimberly Clark (Midtec). He worked there for 42 years. Gordon married Dorothy Wachtendonk at Holy Name Church on June 18, 1949. Upon his retirement, Gordons hobbies included golfing (achieving a hole in one), travelling and reading. He loved to go up north with family and friends. Gordon is survived by his wife Dorothy (Wachtendonk); son Guy (Sandy Weyers) Gehrman, Stevens Point; daughter Janet (David) Evansen, Appleton; and three grandchildren: Michael Evansen, Amanda (fiance Kyle Retzki) Gehrman and Gordon Gehrman II. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Clarence (Evelyn), Max (Sally) and Herman (Hester) Gehrman, Agnes (Norman) Kneip, Julia (Robert) Haskinson, Mary (Leo) Swinford and Helen (Frank) Hanselman. Visitation will be held Wednesday February 29, 2012 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH KIMBERLY SITE (620 E. Kimberly Ave.) beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 noon. The Rev. David Beaudry will officiate. Military rites conducted by the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 will immediately follow. Committal Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established. Our sadness and heartbreak is immeasurable as we all say goodbye to a very special man we were so blessed to call husband, dad and grandfather. The wonderful, fun-filled years we have all spent together will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Gordon, you will be deeply missed.

Mike retired from the United States Navy on Janu ary 31, 2003 after more than 25 years of proud service as an aviation warf are expert, having obtained the rank of Senior Chief. He is survived by h is loving wife, Melissa Ann Kneip, Loogootee; mother, Agnes (Gehrman) Knei p; a son, Clay Kneip, Evansville, IN; a step-son, Trevor Allbright, at hom e; two brothers: Chris and Lee Kneip, Appleton; six sisters: Ann Mewsha w, Calabasas, CA; Mary Foegen, Jill Lallensack, Lynne Satterlee and Barb K untsman, all of Appleton; Janice “Cookie” Taylor, Colorado Springs, CO; t wo very close friends: Gary Lewis and “Doc” Truesdale.
