    Obituary:
    Mrs Blasius Riederer, 66, route 1, Cato, died today at home, following six months illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the home and at 9:30 from the St Mary's Catholic church at Clarks Mills, the Rev. Lawrence Loerke officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs Riederer, nee Mary Pritzl, was born in Cato in 1877 and in 1897 was married to Mr Riederer and they located on the present homestead farm. Survivors are the widower; five sons, Bernard, of this city, John, Valders, Edward, Cato, Robert, at home, and August, Camp Ibis, Calif; three daughters, Mrs Edward Wallander, of route 2, Reedsville, Mrs Walter Zipperer, Whitelaw, Mrs Leona Riederer, at home, brother, John, of Cato; three sisters, Mrs Barbara Tuschl of Whitelaw, Mrs Catherine Puser of Brillion, and Mrs John Meyer, of Medford, Wis; and 19 grandchildren. Mrs Riederer was a member of the Christian Mothers, whose members will recite the rosary at home Thursday evening at eight o'clock. The body will be moved to the Riederer home from the Pfeffer funeral home Wednesday afternoon.

    Mrs Barbara A Tuschl, 92, of 1836 Belmont St Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10:30 a.m. St Mary Catholic Church, Clark Mills. The Rev Leander Nickel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs Tuschl, nee Barbara A Pritzl, was born Oct. 7, 1879, daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Koerner Pritzl. She was married to John Tuschl, Sr., May 13, 1901, at Clark Mills. They resided in Clark Mills until 1943 when they moved to Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 15, 1947. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, for 16 years until her retirement in 1959. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church Christian Mothers Altar Society. Survivors include six sons; Roman, of Rt 4, Manitowoc, John Jr., of Manitowoc, Anthony of Rt 1, Cato, Joseph of Madison, and George and Leon of Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs Gerald (Fern) Esser of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Mrs John Meyer of Medford, Wis.; 21 grandchildren and 43 great grand-children. Three sons, two daughters, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.

He then married Mary Strauss on 15 July 1924. They were dairy farmers.     Mathilda M (Tillie) Strauss, age 99, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, July 13, 2001 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2001 at St Mary's Catholic Church, 1114 S 21st at Marshall streets, Manitowoc. The Rev Finian Zaucha, OFM will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial at St Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Maple Grove. Tillie was born Oct 11, 1901 at Whitelaw, daughter of the late Anton and Theresa Pritzl Schamburek. She married Simon J Strauss, April 28, 1925 at St Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Simon preceded her in death Oct 1, 1962. After coming to Manitowoc in 1962, she was employed at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc, St Mary's Rosary and Altar Society and sang in the funeral choir. Tillie is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law; Evelyn (Harold) Kummer, Lorraine (Paul) Erdmann, Rita (Clifford) Maule, Shirley (Frederick) Richmond, all of Manitowoc, and LaVerne (Myron) Schettl, Oronoco, Mich.; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Simon, she was predeceased by a brother, John A Schamburek and a sister Rose Geiger. She farmed with her husband until her retirement, was a member of St Mary Catholic Church in Brillion, the Christian Mothers, Catholic Knights and a member of Brillion Senior Citizens.     John A Schambureck, 78, of 151 Hoover Street, Whitelaw, Wisconsin, died Wednesday morning, January 10, 1990, at his residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Heymen and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr Schambureck was born April 27, 1911, at Whitelaw, Wisconsin, son of the late Anton and Theresia Pritzel Schambureck. He grew up, was educated and lived in Whitelaw all his life. Mr. Schambureck farmed and retired from the Manitowoc Company. He was an avid deer hunter, trapper and enjoyed card playing. He married Daisy Lorrigan on October 12, 1937, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove, Wisconsin. Mr. Schambureck was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw; past president of the Holy Name Society; member and past president of the Whitelaw Senior Citizens. Mrs Wallander, nee Theresa Riederer, was born July 23, 1899, at Cato, daughter of the late Blasius and Mary Pritzl Riederer. She lived all of her life in the Town of Cato. She was married to Edward J. Wallander June 8, 1920, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. She was an honorary member of Christian Mothers of Clarks Mills. Survivors include her husband, Edward; six sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Paulene of Route 1, Manitowoc, Edward and Lucille of Route 1, Manitowoc, Robert and Elaine of Whitelaw, Tom and Janice of Chandler, Ariz., Bernard and Lois of Route 1, Cato, and Allan and Sue of Sepulveda, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Harold Schuh of Chandler, Ariz., Marie and Joseph Johanek of Manitowoc Rita and Charles McKiel of La Porte, Ind. and Mrs. Laura Braun of Manitowoc; four brothers, Bernard and August of Manitowoc, Edward of Cato, and Robert of Whitelaw; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Remiker and Mrs. Harold Lemberger of Whitelaw; a sister-in-law, Mrs Hilda Pankratz of Whitelaw; 5 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, two grandsons, a great granddaughter and a brother. The couple farmed in the Town of Kossuth until retiring August 1969, when they moved to their present home. Mr. Tuschl was employed part time at Francis Creek Farmco Co-op for several years. Mr. Tuschl was a member and past president of Francis Creek - Rockwood senior citizens and was serving on the Manitowoc County office commission on aging.     John Tuschl Jr., 75, of 4416 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, October 10, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Jens Funeral Home and 10 am, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mr. Tuschl was born Oct. 10, 1907, at Clarks Mills, son of the late John Sr. and Barbara Pritzl Tuschl. He was educated in Clarks Mills and married Mabel Cherney Aug. 2, 1933, at Mishicot. The couple later came to Manitowoc to make their home. Mr. Tuschl was a barber many years in Two Rivers. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie 706 of Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 1995, at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St Michaels Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. He was born September 4, 1911, in Clarks Mills, Wis., son of the late John and Barbara Pritzl Tuschl. He grew up in Clarks Mills and attended St Mary's Catholic School in Clarks Mills. He married Germaine M Grall, November 15, 1941, at St Michael's Catholic Church. From 1940 to 1945, Tony worked for the Hamann Construction Company in Manitowoc. In 1945, he started farming on the John Grall farm in Whitelaw, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He is also a member of the Holy Name Society, the Manitowoc County Expo and was former Vice President of the Manitowoc County Holstein Breeders Association, former President of the Manitowoc County D.H.I.A. Association, a lifetime member of the National Holstein Selection Committee which is located at Shawano, Wis. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 1994 at St Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. Rev William O'Brien will officiate with entombment in the Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. She was born May 24, 1920 in Brillion, daughter of the late John and Katherine Pritzel Puser. She married Roman Tikalsky on March 6, 1942 in Milwaukee. She was a housewife and mother and also worked at the Brillion HS as a bus driver and in the cafeteria. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Brillion, the Christian Mother's the choir and the "We Love To Dance" Club. Survivors include her husband Roman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roman R and Karen Tikalsky, North Prairie, Wis., Jim and Toni Tikalsky, Laurel, Montana; three grandchildren, Christian, Kate and Nicholas; three sisters-in-law, Auralie Puser, Brillion, Joan Puser, Milwaukee, Phyllis Puser, Sommers, Wis. She was preceded in death by five brothers. Friends may call at the Weiting Funeral Home, Brillion, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and on Saturday from 7:45-10 a.m. when family rites will be held. A parish vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Michael E. Wallander, age 71, of Clarks Mills died at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc, Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Funeral Services were held Thursday, May 4, 2000, at St.Mary's, Clarks Mills. Rev. John Conrad officiated with burial in the church cemetery. He was born in the town of Cato on September 5, 1928. Mike farmed in the town of Cato with his father. He married Pauline Zipperer on June 14, 1949, at St. Michael's, Whitelaw. With his unlimited energies, he started Mike E. Wallander Construction Co working to build a better world. He earned numerous awards for his designs. His legacy will live on in his many buildings for farmers and industry. He also built the trailer court in Cleveland. His employees were like an extended family enjoying fish boils with family and friends. He was also a dairy farmer until 1993 when he suffered a stroke. In 1995, he retired to Clarks Mills and was employed part-time by Reedsville Equity until December of 1998. Mike suffered another stroke and was hospitalized. Then in January of 1999, he had colon surgery. After that, Mike resided at St. Mary's Home for 16 months. We are very thankful that we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in June of 1999. Mike enjoyed hunting by his cabin in Florence Wis., fishing on Lake Michigan, relaxing at the cottage on Long Lake near Brillion, traveling in the motor home across the country with his family and snowmobiling on the trails. He was instrumental in organizing Valders Viking Snowmobile Club. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Clarks Mills Mens Club, Valders Lions Club, and Clarks Mills Sportsman's Club. He also was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis of Holy Innocents Parish. He is survived by Pauline, his loving wife of 50 years; nine sons and four daughters, their spouses and 23 grandchildren Richard, Charles, John, Peter, and MaryClare of Spokane, WA. Michael G.     Bernard F Riederer, age 71, of Mishawaka, Ind. died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at his residence after an extended illness. Father William Sullivan will officiate with Bernard's final resting place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Mr Riederer was born August 14, 1925, son of Ann L Schuh and Bernard B Riederer of Manitowoc. Bernard was a member of the United States Navy for two and one-half years. His other accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a Master of Science degree from Indiana University. He married Phyllis M O'Neil, originally of Oconto, Wis, November 27, 1947. They were married for 49 years. He was a life member of the National Education Association, an honorary member of the Indiana State Teachers Association, a past president of the Mishawaka Rotary Club, and a past president of the Ushers Club of St Monica Catholic Church. He was employed by the City Schools of Mishawaka from 1949-1985. Bernard taught math for 23 years, 17 of which he also coached track and four of which he also taught science and served as vice principal for 13 years entirely at Beiger School. Since 1987, Bernard has been Vice President of LRT Plastics, Inc. of Elkhart, Ind.
