    Vander Heyden, Gertrude, Appleton Age 92, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at Franciscan Care and Rehabilitat ion Center. Gertrude was born in Appleton on September 14, 1911 to the la te Gustave and Theresa (Kohl) Schultz and had lived in the Fox Valley ar ea all her life. She was a graduate of Appleton High School with the cla ss of 1928. Gertrude married Cletus A. Vander Heyden in Appleton on Apr il 30, 1930. They operated the Twin City Bottling Company in Menasha for o ver 35 years. Gertrude was a noon hour supervisor and server for Rooseve lt School in Neenah and retired in 1986. Gert was a life member of Theda Clark Auxiliary and volunteered in the gi ft shop for 20 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Ameri ca in Menasha. She enjoyed golf and won the lady's championship at Ridgeway Country Clu b. Her hobbies included reading, gardening and travel. She loved to play b ridge and participated in several bridge marathons. Gert loved baseball a nd was a true Chicago Cubs fan. She is survived by a son, William (Liz), Mequon; two daughters: Lori Alber t, Neenah; Janet Erdman, Appleton; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandc hildren, a brother-in-law, William Neabling, Neenah; two sisters-in-law: A nita Vander Heyden, Combined Locks and Ceilia Vander Heyden, Appleton. S he was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Marian Hansen; four bro thers: George, Fred, Ray and Harold (Butch) Schultz. Gert will be remembered for her kindness, her willingness to help anybo dy and for being a good cook and a hard worker. The family would like to thank Franciscan Care and Rehabilitation Center f or their expert care, support and kindness. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 212 Applet on Street, Menasha on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Father Pa ul Radetski officiating. Friends and family will be received at the chur ch on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

    Clifford F., "Cliff", "Fred", "Schultzie", Schultz, 74, of Darboy, passed away on Friday April 14, 2017 while on hospice at Appleton Medical Center after a long battle with asbestosis lung disease.
    He was born on December 20, 1942 in Appleton to Frederick and Roslyn (Dick) Schultz. Cliff was a graduate of Appleton High School, class of 1961 and a graduate of the Appleton Vocational School in Electrical. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Reserves. Cliff was a graduate of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA, in 1965 serving through 1971. On May 7, 1966 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Barbara Thurk in Appleton. He was employed at Bartelt Insulation and Supply, B & B Insulation and Industrial Insulation. Cliff was a member of the Asbestos Workers Union, Local 127 in 1966 until his retirement in 2006. During his retirement he worked for Town Park at Theda Care Cancer Center valet parking. Cliff enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows especially corvettes. He also liked joking, playing tricks on family and friends, downhill skiing and spending time at his lake home on Long Lake. Collecting and salvaging car parts, motors and "shooting the breeze" were his passion.
    Cliff is survived by his wife Barbara; children, Lisa Schultz, Appleton, Anne (Jeff) Gahr, O'Fallon MO, grandchildren; Joseph Kilsdonk, Logan Gahr and Luke Gahr, his sister Sally (Jim) Zoelk, Darboy, and brother Richard (Karen) Schultz, Appleton, nieces and nephews; Bradley (Katie) Zoelk, Vicki (Dave) McMorrow, Julie (Scott) Rohloff, Tim Schultz and seven great nieces and nephews; Paige and Drew Zoelk, Ryan and Mitchell McMorrow, Gabe and Emily Rohloff and Alyssa Schultz.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    The memorial service for Cliff will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:00 PM at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH DARBOY CAMPUS, W5831 Highway KK, Darboy. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Albert, Dolores "Lori" T.
    Dolores "Lori" Albert, 77, Neenah, died Friday at her home. Lori was born in Appleton, Oct. 10, 1931, to Cletus "Van" and Gertrude Vander Heyden. Her parents are deceased. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Menasha Class of 1949. She had been employed as a secretary at John Strange Paper Company. Lori and Frank Albert were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Menasha in 1952. They resided in Neenah for most of their lives, and were parishioners of St. Patrick's. Lori was preceded in death by Frank July 22, 2001.
    Lori was a Kings Daughters Member and was involved in volunteer work throughout her life. She was a volunteer for the Theda Clark Auxiliary, and she managed the gift shop at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital for many years. Lori excelled in duplicate bridge, and the number of bridge clubs in which she and her bridge friends participated was too large to count. She and Frank were birdwatchers and nature lovers - and during their retirement, they travelled extensively in pursuit of those interests.
    Lori will sadly be missed by her family and friends.
    She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Mary Albert (James Crooks); son, Paul Albert (Cathy); grandsons, Ben Albert, and Wyatt Albert; her brother, William Vander Heyden; sister, Janet Erdman; and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

    Janet M. Erdman, 77, Appleton, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born Jan. 29, 1934, to the late Cletus and Gertrude (Schultz) Vander Heyden.
    Janet had a great education and received degrees from both Lawrence University and Marquette University. She was a 5th grade teacher for most of her career, having taught at St. Therese School in Appleton and Gegan School in Menasha. She was an avid reader and a long-time Friend of the Appleton Library. She also enjoyed gardening and doing crossword and pieced puzzles.
    Janet loved the company of her many friends and especially enjoyed luncheons at Fox Valley Tech and the Alumni Lunches at Lawrence University. She was patriotic and enjoyed politics. Her children had fond memories of visiting the family company with their mother, Twin City Bottling Works.
    Janet will be greatly missed by her children, Hope Heeren and Mark Buchberger; her grandchild, Matt Buchberger; her brother, William Vander Heyden.
    She was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Albert.
    A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha.
