Agnes Muthig Gelbke, Agnes T. (Muthig) of Appleton, age 92, died peacefully on Monda y, February 14, 2005, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was bo rn on June 25, 1912, in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, moving to Appleton as a you ng child. Agnes married Eric H. Gelbke on June 30, 1929, in Appleton, Wisc onsin. Eric preceded her in death on November 5, 1992. Agnes devoted her l ife to her husband, her family and her home. She was a loving wife, moth er and grandmother. Agnes enjoyed the special friendship of her neighbor s, Jon and Pat Kester and their golden retrievers, Sophie and Claire, wi th whom she shared her nightly popcorn.Agnes is survived by two daughters: Joann (Eugene) VanBoogard and their ch ildren, Kathy (Kebin) Schmitz, Julie (Jim) Weyenberg, David (Karen) VanBoo gard and Sara VanBoogard; Dolores (William) Gear and their children, Lin da (Steven) Stoll, Steven (Tressa) Gear, Alan Gear (special friend, Kay Fr anke), Kaelin Gelbke; nine great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Lucas Weyenbe rg, Alicia and Andrew VanBoogard, Lacy Gear, Brian, Jennifer and Jason Sto ll and Becky Brown; three great-great-grandchildren: Tyler Balcomb, Meg an Stoll, Wyatt Brown; brother-in-law, Carl (Evelyn) Gelbke and sister-in- law Catherine Gelbke.She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Eric C. Gelbke; her paren ts, Valentine and Mary (Wolf) Muthig; a brother, Alex Muthig; three sister s: Theresa (Charles) Main, Marie (Henry) Sauer and Anna Muthig; brothers-i n-law, Paul (Dorothy) Gelbke, Alfred (Mardelle) Gelbke, William Gelbke; si sters-in-law, Helen (John) Indra, Gertrude (Julius) Wismer; and many niec es and nephews.Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., on Thursday, February 17, 2005, at T RI COUNTY CHAPEL, with Rev. John McFadden, First Congregational United Chu rch of Christ, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursd ay, February 17 from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. The interme nt will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
