    Hoelzel, Eleonora I. (Maas)Eleonora I. (Maas) Hoelzel, Town of Harrison, age 93, passed away in her h ome peacefully in her favorite chair early Monday evening, October 17, 200 5. She was born in the Town of Harrison on May 14, 1912, daughter of the l ate Henry and Emma (Engel) Mass. On November 19, 1938, she married Alex Ho elzel in the St. Joseph rectory in Appleton. Eleonora and Alex operated th eir family dairy farm for over 45 years. She was an active member of Fir st English Lutheran Church for 70 years. Eleonora was an inspiration wi th her positive outlook on life.Eleonora is survived by her children: Thomas (Penny) Hoelzel, Kimberly; De nnis Hoelzel, Appleton; grandchildren: Scott (Nancy) Hoelzel, Bay St. Loui s, MS; Heather (Christopher) Ristow, Oshkosh; Erika (Michael) Pond, Memphi s, TN; great-grandchildren: Gabriel Ristow, and Emma and Alex Hoelzel; sis ters: Esther Tuyls, Green Bay; Arlene Schmidt, Appleton; Virginia Lemke, A ppleton; and brother, Henry Maas, Green Bay.Eleonora is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Alex; and her in fant sister, Evelyn.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at F IRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 E. North St., Appleton, with Rev. Vic ki Fink officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Frid ay from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. unt il the time of the service. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in Ho ly Angels Cemetery, Darboy.The family extends a special thanks to Frankie, Gary, Kris, and Kathy a nd to all of Eleonora's lifelong neighbors and good friends.     Obituary:
    Tom Hoelzel, age 73 of Appleton, passed away at his home on August 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Darboy on October 25, 1943, son of the late Alex and Eleonora (Maas) Hoelzel. He was a graduate of Kimberly High School, and was employed by Miller Electric. His time at Miller found him in a variety of roles, from assembly, to paint, to robotics, he was a valued employee for nearly forty years.
    Tom was a man of adventure and enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies. Among them were travel, horseback riding, motorcycles, scuba diving, fishing, and deer hunting. Last but not least, he and Penny loved line dancing. His children are the beneficiaries of his active lifestyle - he shared his love of adventure with them as well.
    Tom is survived by his wife and best friend of twenty-six years: Penny Hoelzel of Appleton; three children: Scott (Nancy) Hoelzel of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Heather (Christopher) Ristow of Fort Myers, Florida; and Erika (Michael) Pond of Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Gabriel Ristow, Emma Hoelzel, and Alex Hoelzel; and a brother: Dennis Hoelzel. Other survivors include Penny's children: Tony (Denise) Hardy of Appleton and their family; Jason (Heather) Hardy of Winneconne and their family; and Kelly (Steven) Groat of New London and their family; as well as Penny's many brothers and sisters. Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
    Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom's life on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM in the Mallard Room at the Darboy Club, N9695 County Road N in Darboy. There will be a brief service of remembrance to honor Tom at 1:00 PM, and the rest of the day can be spent remembering the good times.
