    Gene H. Rusch, age 78, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1933 in the at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Gene served his country in the U.S. Army. In his younger years, he was employed as a truck driver for Service Bakery. He spent many years at Western Elevator Feed Mill before joining the workforce at Miller Electric for 27 years. After he retired from Miller Electric, he worked part time at Northside True Value, where he acquired a new family of friends. He enjoyed camping, bowling, the Milwaukee Brewers and especially singing karaoke.
    Gene is survived by his sons: Craig (Brenda) Rusch and Keith (Karen) Rusch; grandchildren: Kari, Emilie, Aaron (special friend Kandice) Rusch and Mae (Dan) Lederhaus; great grandchildren: Alaysia and Kaleb Rusch; Savanah, Dylan and Cadence Lederhaus. He is further survived by his brother, Jim (Linda) Rusch, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Gene was preceded in death by his two sisters, Carol (Dick) Peters and Eunice (Vern) Schucknecht, and his brother John Rusch.
    The love of his life Carol, passed away on August 12, 2011. They are joined together again in heaven.
    How Great Thou Art
    When Christ shall come, with shouts of acclamation, and take me home, What joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim, "My God, How Great Thou art!"
    The funeral service for Gene will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 24, 2011 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Judy Deckert will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.     Schucknecht, Eunice M. (Rusch) Lot 87 Northgate Est., New London
    Age 63, went peacefully to God at her home on Thursday, August 29, 2002. Eunice was diagnosed with cancer in October 1997. She was born on May 7, 1939 in the town of Center, daughter of the late Fred and Ester (Bruce) Rusch. On February 14, 1959, she married Vernon. Eunice worked very hard her whole life. She not only worked full-time at Zwickers Knitting Mill for 20 years, she ran the family farm and raised five children. One this we will all remember about Eunice is she NEVER complained. She was a resident of New London most of her life. She is survived by her husband Vernon and her five children; Debbie (Russ) Diem, Hortonville; Sue (Kevin) Bartel, New London; Darrell Schucknecht, New London; Dennis (Amy) Schucknecht, Appleton; Ron (Jolynn) Schucknecht, Topeka, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Andy, Amanda, and Brooke; a sister, Carol (Richard) Peters, New London; two brothers, Jim (Linda- a VERY super special sister-in-law) Rusch, Arizona; Gene (Carol Beth) Rusch, Appleton. She is further survived by her special friend Edna Bartel, New London; a special guardian angel (Brenda Diem), New London; and all other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother John Rusch. The family would like to sincerely thank Pastor Lofgren, Dr. D. Fuhrmann, New London Family Medical Center and Theda Care Home Hospice for all the compassion, generosity and the phenomenal care they gave to Eunice. A private service will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery for immediate family only, upon Eunice's wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Theda Care at Home. The Cline and Hanson Funeral Home of New London assisted the family with arrangements.
