    Mary Kay Meulemans, 66, a lifelong resident of Freedom, passed away in the loving arms of her daughters and surrounded by many family members on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was born on April 21, 1949, daughter of the late Ray and LaVerne (Weyenberg) Romenesko. On June 6, 1969, Kay married Jim Meulemans at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.
    Kay was a devoted member of St. Nicholas all of her life. She volunteered for many different things throughout the years at church. Kay was a marvelous baker and cook, always supplying her family with fresh baked goods and treats. If Kay didn't wake you up in the morning with a phone call, she most likely kept you up late talking on the phone! She enjoyed talking to her family and friends on a daily basis. The light of her life was her precious grandchildren. They could always put a smile on her face and they made her extremely proud.
    Kay is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Meulemans; her daughters: Lori (Craig) Hansen and Lisa (Mike) Sitter; her grandchildren: Cole, Caden and Ali Hansen and Rayna Kay Sitter; her siblings: Donna (Dick) Vande Wettering, Mike (Sue) Romenesko and Chris Romenesko; brothers and sisters-in-law: Carolyn Romenesko, Lois McMorrow, Janet Weyenberg, Barbara (Tom) Elliott, Joan Frederickson and Gary (Janice) Meulemans; a special aunt, Patty (Gary "Butch") Vande Wettering; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Kay was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Pat Romenesko; a sister, JoAnn Romenesko; brothers and sisters-in-law: Patti Romenesko, Tom McMorrow, Jim Weyenberg and Roger Frederickson; father and mother-in-law, Ted and Ruth Meulemans; maternal grandparents, Cy and Stenie Weyenberg; and paternal grandparents, Walter and Mabel Romenesko.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, and again on Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, at 12:00 noon on Monday.     JoAnn Romenesko, 4 moth old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Romenesko, Route 2, Kaukauna, died this morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. A post mortem is scheduled to determine the cause.
    The child, born last Nov 12th, is survived by the parents, a brother Michael and two sisters, Donna Jean and Mary Kay. The grandp[arenst Mr & Mrs. Walter Romenesko and Mr & Mrs Cyril Weyenberg. A funeral mass will be 8 o clock wendsday morning with burial at St. Nicholas Freedom.

    Patrick J. Romenesko, "Humper ", age 31, died unexpectedly Monday, August 4th, 1986. He was born July 2 8th, 1955, in Green Bay, the son of Lavern Weyenberg and Ray Romenesko. P at had resided in the Fox Valley area for most of his life and had serv ed in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of St. John Catholic Chur ch, Little Chute, and the American Legion Post No. 258, Little Chute. Sur vivors include his parents, Ray and Lavern Romenesko, Freedom; a son, Jim my Romenesko, Kaukauna; two sisters and brothers in law: Donna and Dick Va ndeWettering, Kay and Jim Meulemans, two brothers and a sister-in-law: Mi ke and Patty Romenesko, Chris Romenesko, paternal grandfather, Walter H. R omenesko, maternal grandmother, Christine Weyenberg, all of Freedo m; he is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Pat w as preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn. The mass of resurrection wi ll be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, w ith Rev. James Vandenhogen officiating. Internment will be in the St. Nich olas Cemetery, Freedom.
