    Clarence Joseph Boyle, son of Elizabeth Laux Boyle and Anton Boyle, di ed at the age of 89 on July 8, 2006, at his home in Vancouver, Washingto n. Clarence was happy and healthy into his golden years. He was diagnos ed with a fast-growing brain tumor just 11 short days before his deat h. He was cheered in his last days by loving family, laughter of childre n, good food and friends.
    Clarence was a hard worker, helping his family as a young boy, as a tru ck driver/ salesman for Wisconsin Distributing Company for 18 years, a nd as a head machinist for Fox Tractor for 32 years. Clarence served in t he Army-Air Force in World War II.
    Clarence was a gifted baseball player and participated in many local leagu es. In his middle years he enjoyed frequent fishing trips with his sons a nd grandchildren, catching some "lunkers" in Northern lakes, which readi ly hit the frying pan. He so enjoyed summer days at the cottage on Picker el Lake, picking black berries, fishing and trail blazing.
    His years in retirement were filled with the joys of traveling in his trai ler, camping, sitting around the camp fire, telling stories, playing sheep shead, and keeping up on his two favorite teams, the Cubs and the Packer s.
    Clarence had a great capacity for kindness, he was both gentle and stron g. He was true to himself, a great example for those he loved.
    Clarence is survived by his wife of 68 1/2 years, Cora Jane; his childre n: Judith Gillespie, Vancouver, WA; James Boyle and friend, Pam Nault, App leton, WI; and William (Patricia) Boyle, Appleton, WI; grandchildren: Robe rt (Linda) Boyle, Green Bay, WI; Patrick (Norma Jean) Boyle, Scandinavi a, WI; Suzanne Gillespie, Portland, OR; Michelle (Richard) Hill, Applet on WI; Geoffrey Boyle, Appleton, WI; and William (Elizabeth) Boyle II, App leton, WI; and great-grandchild, William Boyle III, Appleton, WI; sister s: Margaret Stiebs, Appleton, WI; Ruth (Ed) Mendels, Oshkosh, WI; brother s: Anton (Frances) Bolye, San Benito, TX; Roy Boyle, Appleton, WI; Jose ph (Betty) Boyle, Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Helen Beilke, Edmonds, W A; and many nieces and nephews.
    His presence in our lives will be greatly missed but he lives on in our he arts. Clarence's body was donated to Bio-Gift for neurological resear ch at the National Brain bank in Los Angeles, CA (National Neurological Re search Specimen Bank VA, Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, West Los A ngeles VA Medical Center).
    A memorial fund is being established for research into these fast-growi ng fatal tumors (grade IV astrocytoma - glioblastoma multiforme). He was p receded in death by an infant son, his parents, mother and father-in-la w, and brothers and sisters-in-law, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law. Ma ny thanks to our dear friends who were kind and helpful in our move to Van couver.
    A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 2 p.m. on Sunda y, September 17, 2006, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 740 E. Colle ge Ave, Appleton, WI , 920- 731-3288.

    Margaret Mary Stiebs, age 95, died peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2014 at her home in Grand Horizons of Appleton.
    Margaret was born on May 13, 1918 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Anton and Elisabeth (Laux) Boyle. She attended area schools and was united in marriage on March 19, 1939 to Paul Stiebs and he preceded her in death on September 30, 1988. Margaret was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Combined Locks for over 30 years, and volunteered at the church for various functions and was a member of the mission sewing club of the church. Margie was formerly employed with Sears and H.C. Prange for several years. She also enjoyed playing cards especially sheephead with family and friends and caring for her flower and vegetable gardens.
    Margie is survived by a sister, Ruth Mendels, Oshkosh; and a brother, Joseph (Betty) Boyle, Appleton; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Clarence, Anton and Roy.
    The funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Valley Funeral Home with Chaplain Brad McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Margie's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00AM until the hour of service.
    Margie's family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Grand Horizons for their excellent care for the past four years and to the Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care and love extended unto Margie and her family.

    Roy George Boyle, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at his home in Appleton. Roy was born on October 22, 1925 in the Town of Grand Chute, son of the late Anton and Elizabeth (Laux) Boyle. On October 16, 1943, Roy was married to Eleanor Dresang in Mackville. Prior to working with Appleton Mills, he owned and operated Roys Radio & TV for about 25 years. He retired from Appleton Mills as a dryer operator in 1987. Roy was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to country music, and playing the guitar. Roy is survived by his children, LeRoy (Mary Kay) Boyle, Appleton, and Betty (Jerry) Jennerjohn, New London; his grandchildren, Gina (Tom) Rebman, Laura (Scott) Knapp, Jeff (Diane) Jennerjohn, Cindy (Terry) Delfosse, and Rick (Kim) Jennerjohn; 21 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret Stiebs, Appleton and Ruth (Ed) Mendell, Oshkosh; his brother, Joseph (Betty) Boyle, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Cora Jane Boyle and Francis Boyle. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor; two brothers, Clarence and Anton Boyle; and a brother-in-law, Paul Stiebs. In accordance with Roy's wishes, a private funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Memorial contributions in Roy's name may be made to a fund that is being established.
