Obituary:
Dolores A. DeHart, age 73, of Appleton, passed away at Grand Horizons Assisted Living on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Dee Dee was born on January 7, 1940, in Kaukauna, to the late Harry T. and Stella (Kasuboski) Wheaton. She married James A. Steinberg on October 1, 1958. She was married to Jewett E. DeHart for over 30 years; he preceded her in death on March 22, 2011. Dee Dee was a 1958 graduate of Appleton West High School. She served as a CNA at various nursing homes and hospitals and was well-known for her hard work and pride-of-effort. Dee Dee enjoyed dancing, movies, music, reading, yellow roses and carnations, summertime in Wisconsin, and especially the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was wise in the ways of forgiveness.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela M. (Randy) Coenen; her son, James R. Steinberg; her sister, Alvina A. Moericke; her grandson, James R. Steinberg, Jr.; and her granddaughters, Katie Steinberg and Jessie Coenen; and her great granddaughters, Karma and Kaydence; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wheaton and Wilma Wheaton; her step-children, Perry, Kurt, Chris, Penny and Duke Dehart; and her cousin, Anna (Erno) Szilagyi. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her beloved cats, Smokey and Tina. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Wheaton, her brothers, Duane and Benjamin Wheaton and her grandson, Robbie Steinberg.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. the time of services.
