    Obituary:
    Elsie Finnel, 98, Denmark passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at a Green Bay nursing home. Elsie was born Jan. 6, 1908, in the town of Humboldt to the late Antone and Josephine (Cleereman) Allen. She married Richard Finnel at St. Mary's Church in Humboldt on April 15, 1936, he preceded her in death on March 28, 1978. Elsie worked at Kraft Foods in Green Bay for six years and farmed in the town of Franklin in Kewaunee County for many years. Elsie and her husband moved to Denmark in 1977, when they retired from farming. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading.
    Survivors include two daughters, Jane (Allen) Kadletz, Luxemburg; Clare (John) Miller, Pine Grove; seven grandchildren, Mary Kay (Joe) Jadin, Kurt (Connie) Kadletz, Mark Miller, Jess (Patti) Miller, Bill (Kris) Miller, Lora (Mark) Matzke, Kate (Brent) Mathews; 15 great-grandchildren, Amanda and Matt Jadin, Kraig and Christopher Kadletz, Madeline, Margaret, Lizzy and Elena Miller, Amelia, Grace, and Cal Matzke, Hannah, Brennen, and Lucas Miller, Nolan Mathews; two sisters, Geraldine Vanden Houten, Collette Wertel; sisters-in-law, Grace Allen, Mildred Allen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marie Boerschinger, Bernard (Lillian) Finnel, Mildred (Marvin) Valentine, Norbert (Ann) Finnel; and many nieces and nephews.
    Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers and sisters, Henry (Hilda) Allen, Myrtle (Allen) Kuchenbecker, Alice (Henry) Tilkens, Mabel (Ralph) Goral, Alvin (Alice) Allen, Sylvester Allen, Bernard Allen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl (Catherine) Langenberg, Clarence (Eleanor) Finnel, Matt Boerschinger, Gladys (Jim) Pelnar, Adolph (Loretta) Davister, Wencil (Dolores) Stodola.
    Family and friends may call at the Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty. R, Denmark, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Fr. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in Cooperstown.
    Elsie's family wishes to extend a thank you to her friends and neighbors in Denmark, the staff at Bornemann's CBRF and nursing home, Dr. Wozney, and to Unity Hospice.

    Elsie married Finnel, Richard 15 Apr 1936, St. Mary Catholic Church, Humbolt, Wisconsin, USA. Richard (son of Finnel, Nicholas and Weber, Armina "Minnie") was born 7 Dec 1904; died 28 Mar 1978, Green Bay, Brown, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]
