    Obituary:
Harold K. Kennedy, 93, Shiocton, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton. Harold was born on Aug. 20, 1914, son of the late James & Marie (Hanson) Kennedy, on the family farm in Shiocton. He lived there his whole life, on the land he loved, until May of 2007. He was a dairy farmer and was also employed at Appleton Mills for 12 years until his retirement in 1977. His retirement was spent with Dorothy, his wife of over 68 years, doing the things they enjoyed, camping, fishing and playing cards. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church. Dad saw many changes in the world during his lifetime, from horse drawn vehicles to space travel, kerosene lamps to electricity, radio to TV, computers, iPods. Dad was a great historian recounting many past memories and passing them on to his family.
He leaves behind his best friend and the love of his life, Dorothy; five children, Patrick (Lorraine) Kennedy, Redding, Calif.; Diana Kanaman, Neenah; Donald Kennedy (special friend Diane), Neenah; Carl (Peggy) Kennedy, Shawano; Kathy (Gene) Zuleger, Appleton; 12 grandchildren, Cindy (Jim) Wetta, Kelly (James) Dixon, Brian (Michelle) Plach, Julie Riehl (special friend Steve), Kevin (Lisa) Plach, Richard (Jill) Plach, Chris Kennedy (special friend Chrisie), Koy Kennedy (special friend Amelia), Bart Kennedy (special friend Melissa), Nathan (Angela) Kennedy, Lisa (Eric) Kuhls, John (Nancy) Zuleger; and 18 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Lola Nichols, Sister Rosemarita SSND, Sister Carla SSND; a brother-in-law, Frank Bauer Sr.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl & Frances Huebner; brothers, James Gordon (Caroline) and John; a sister, Alnetta (Fred) Woche; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sylvia (Marvin) Miller, Lloyd Nichols, Brother Thaddeus, Patricia Bauer and Margaret Huebner.
The Funeral Mass for Harold will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Fr. John Kastenholz and Sr. Pauline Feiner officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for a charity to be named later.
The family would like to thank Dr. Barkmeier, Lisa Gunderson and the staff at Theda Care, Fr. Gerald Falk, Sr. Pauline, the staff at Colony Oaks, especially Lori, Brenda and Mary, and Heartland Hospice, especially Lisa and Holly. Also thanks to Carol Helser for her care and devotion.
Dad, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Thank you for the many hunting and fishing lessons. Thank you for teaching us a great work ethic. You taught us well!!! Love, Pat, Diana, Don, Carl and Kathy.
Our entire family would like to thank Diana for her endless care and love she has shown in the care of our parents.
