    Resch, Marcelline Ann "Marcie" Marcelline Ann Resch, age 94, formerly of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at Garrow Villa in Brillion. Marcie was born on September 22, 1912, in the Town of Ellington, to the late John and Elizabeth (Bauer) Becher. She devoted her life to her family and will always be remembered by her unselfish giving spirit to others. She will be remembered for her positive attitude and her encouragement to be the best you can be. Marcie enjoyed all kinds of music and especially enjoyed listening to the Statler Brothers. She was an accomplished pianist and at the age of 12 was the youngest church organist at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenville. Marcie was an artist and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She married Herbert Resch on September 5, 1938, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on December 18, 1996.
    Survivors include her children: Tom Resch; David (Nancie) Resch; Patricia Deniston; Sandy Fotopoulos; Terry Resch; Judy (Jon) Clope; Jacque Resch; John (Vickie) Resch; Sallie (Gary) Berg; Michael (Mary) Resch. She is further survived by her 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law: Helen Becker and Marie (Alfred) Brown; and her brother-in-law, John (Lorraine) Resch.
    She was preceded in death by her grandson Alexander Fotopoulos, her three brothers, two sisters and many other relatives.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. The family would like to thank all the loving hearts and hands that made Marcie's life so happy and meaningful, including her physicians, Dr. Kelli Heindel, Dr. Rattray, the staff at AMC, Calumet County Nursing and, especially, the wonderful staff at Garrow Villa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to Garrow Villa.

    Mennen, Rose Mary nee Bauer
    Rose Mary Mennen, 88, Appleton, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at her residence. She was born November 12, 1920, in Appleton to the late John and Mary (Becker) Bauer. She married Gilbert Mennen on November 22, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1983. Rose Mary was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Wrightstown for over 50 years.
    Mom will always be remembered for her welcoming and generous spirit. She supported those in need through the Salvation Army and St. Joseph Food Pantry. She enjoyed and was active the last four years at the Appleton Retirement Center where she lived. She loved spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include her sons: Gary (Carol) Mennen, Hortonville; Jim (Sandy) Mennen, Appleton; daughter, Diane Schmitt, Glendale, WI; five grandchildren: Jessica (Todd) Timm, Steven Mennen, Tom Schmitt, Nicole Mennen and Kimberly Mennen; two great-grandchildren: Mason and Bennett Timm; sister, Veronica (Lawrence) Jochman, Appleton; sister-in-law, Esther Bauer. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; sister, Celia (George) Van Beek; brothers: Leonard (Alberta) Bauer, Norbert (Rose) Bauer, Lawrence Bauer; Joseph Bauer and Edward Bauer.
    Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. (Noon) Friday, January 23, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton with Rev. Tom Farrell and Rev. Thomas Reynebeau officiating.     Veronica Philomena (Bauer) Jochman, age 90, a lifelong resident of the Appleton area, passed away Sunday at the Renaissance, in the presence of her family. She was born on August 24, 1923, in the Town of Greenville, to the late Mary (Becker) & John Bauer and raised on the family farm on Broadway Drive (Cty JJ). She attended the two-room school house at St. Mary's in Greenville and then spent several years working on the family farm and in Appleton at the Tuttle Press.
    She met her future husband, Lawrence, at the old Cinderella Ballroom four years before he was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944. They were married three years later on May 22, 1947. After starting her family in their new home on Richmond St., she enjoyed a fulfilling life as mother and homemaker for her family all her life, baking cookies and brownies and helping out at church and school whenever she could. She was a charter member of the St. Pius X Parish when it started in 1957 and was very active in parish life, including attendance at daily Mass, until age slowed her down about 15 years ago. She was also recognized for her service with the St. Pius X "Sister Mary Fagan, ANG Appreciation Award" in 1984. She enjoyed babysitting for afternoon leagues at Hahn's Bowling Alley for many years after her children were in school all day. She also enjoyed years of collecting coupons, baking and decorating cakes and she crocheted kitchen towels for all of her family, friends and charitable functions. She enjoyed visiting family and seeing all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and participate in all of their activities.
    Veronica will be dearly missed by her four loving children and their spouses: son, Dennis (Dianne) Jochman of Neenah and their children Mark Jochman, Scott (Angie) Jochman & Jillian Jochman and her children Chloe and Benjamin; daughter Mary (Tom) Witczak of Appleton, their children Julie Witczak and Jenny (Tony) Maglio and their children Halley and Drew; son Gerald (MaryJo Pankratz) Jochman of Appleton, and their children Matthew (Melissa) Kuhns, Stefanie Jochman, Madeleine Kuhns, Kristopher (Leslie) Jochman, Erik (Fiancee Vanessa Segovia) and Jeremy (Fiancee Lindsey Pozenel) Jochman; and daughter Kathy (John) McKenna of Arlington Hts., IL and their children Michael, Thomas and James McKenna. She is further survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Edward Jochman, Cyril Jochman, Arlene Conti, Doris VandenHeuvel and Melvin (Doris) Jochman.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Lisa Jochman, and all her sisters and brothers and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Veronica's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Veronica's name.

    Esther Ann Clegg, 89, Hortonville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at her home. Esther was born on Oct. 6, 1921, in Ellington Township, daughter of the late Conrad and Philomena (Krudwig) Becher. She was united in marriage to Harold Clegg on June 12, 1945, in Greenville, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1967. They were blessed with four sons and four daughters during their marriage.
    Harold and Esther started the family farm in 1945 and she continued operating it after the death of her husband. Esther was a loving Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She took a lot of pride in her 1972 Monte Carlo, mowing her huge yard, planting flowers, cooking the best homemade meals and baking her famous peanut squares and pies. She enjoyed playing cards, going for rides, especially out to eat at Romy's, and a good polka, teaching many of us how to dance around her kitchen table.
    She was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul's Christian Mothers since 1945 and prayed her Rosary daily. She never missed a Friday night fish fry at church since they started. She was also a member of the Commercial Club of Hortonville, and a charter member of Grandview Golf Course.
    Esther is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Ronnie) Willenkamp, Hortonville; Carol (Fran) Schmelzel, Hortonville; Patricia Weyers, Fremont; Janice (Kenneth) Ebben, Greenville; sons, Dennis (Kerry) Clegg, David Clegg, James Clegg and Kevin S.     Suzanne Louise Becher passed away on June 5, 2014. She fought a long 8-year battle with Wagners Disease. Suzanne was born on April 24, 1944, to the late Florian and Florence (Ellenbecker) Becher. After growing up in Greenville and graduating from Hortonville High School in 1962, she moved with her parents to Appleton in 1979. Suzanne worked for the Appleton YMCA for 16 years. She enjoyed the company of many friends while she resided at Oneida Heights.
    Suzanne is survived by a sister: Mary Ellen (Ed) Majewski, Mursfreeboro, TN and their sons: Stephen (Mara), Dunlap, TN, David (Rebecca), Wheaton, IL, and Michael (Tarry), Nashville, TN; brother: Jim (Judie) Becher and their children: Scott, McFarland, Keith, Chanhassen, MN, and Lisa (Kevin) Hansen, Appleton. Suzanne is further survived by a very special friend Ken Hofer and special girlfriends Kathleen, Janet and Sister Ann. She was preceded in death by her parents.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State Street, Appleton,with Fr. James Leary OFM Cap officiating.     Thomas G. (Herbie) Resch, 76, of Appleton, died peacefully Friday morning, February 19, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

    He was born November 10, 1939, in Appleton, to the late Herbert and Marcelline (Becher) Resch. Tom graduated from St. Mary Central High School class of 1958. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.

    Tom worked in the camera and photography world at the Institute of Paper Chemistry, Manager of a number of camera stores in Las Vegas and the previous owner of Valley Camera in Green Bay.
    He was a sports enthusiast and particularly enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Tom also loved attending live performances at the PAC and local high school productions and loved to travel.
    He will be deeply missed by his siblings: David (Nancie) Resch, Patricia (late Phil) Deniston, Terry Resch, Judy (Jon) Clope, Jacque Resch, John (Vickie) Resch, Sallie (Gary) Berg and Michael (Mary) Resch.
    Tom was very proud of his numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who survive him. He was the loving God Father of Dawn (Resch) Weyenberg and Nicholas Schumacher.
    In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sandy Fotopoulos passed away from a lengthy illness within hours of Tom's passing.
    Based on Tom's wishes, a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton for the immediate family.
    The family would like to thank all the loving hearts and hands that made Tom's life so happy and meaningful, including his physician, Dr. Brian Avery, the staff at St. Elizabeth hospital, the physicians and staff at the VA Clinic and his care givers at Right At Home.     Neenah - Terrance, Terry Resch, 71, of Neenah, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born October 17, 1946 to the late Herbert and Marcelline Resch in Appleton Wisconsin. Terry grew up in Chilton and moved at the age of 10 with his family to Appleton. He graduated from Appleton West and went on to work as a baker at Mister Donuts in Appleton. Terry moved to Las Vegas where he worked at Safeway Grocery. After retiring, he moved back to Wisconsin to be near his family.
    Terry loved being part of a big family and will be remembered for his kind heart. He appreciated the little things in life and never missed a chance to say "thank you" with a phone call or card. Terry had a great love for dogs and over the years he adopted many rescue dogs that became his best buddies.
    Terry loved the Packers and Brewers and spent many Sundays watching Packer games with his big brother Tom.
    Terry was a great and loving brother and he will be missed by his siblings, Dave(Nancie) Resch, Patty(late Phil) Deniston, Judy(Jon) Clope, Jacque Resch, John (Vickie) Resch, Sallie (Gary) Berg, and Mike(Mary) Resch.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tom Resch, sister Sandy Fotopoulos and nephew Alexander Fotopoulos.
    A celebration of life will be held at later date to be determined by his family.

    Sharon M. Bauer, age 74, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior living on Monday, January 16, 2017. She was born on December 26, 1942, daughter of the late Norbert and Rose (Kohl) Bauer. Sharon graduated in 1961 from Appleton Senior High School. After graduation, she started her long-time career at Auer Steel, formerly Service and Supply. Sharon was the secretary for over 46 years before her retirement. She was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton, and also a member of the Red Hat Society.
    Sharon is survived by her brother, Richard (Cathy) Bauer; sister, Janice (Bob) Buss; sister-in-law, Sharon A. Bauer; nieces and nephews: Randy Bauer, Scott (Lori) Bauer, Wendy Bauer, Eric (Chris) Bauer, Jennifer (Kevin) Van Den Eng, Jeff (Stacey) Bauer, Emily (Jeremy) Wilson, Elizabeth Bauer and Kevin (Erin Ong) Buss; 12 great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
    Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Rose Bauer and a brother, Robert J. Bauer.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating.     Dolores M. Peterson, age 73, of Allenville died Monday, August 20, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
    She was born July 11, 1939, in Greenville, to the late Edwin and Florence (Becher) Schueler. Dolores was a 1957 graduate of Appleton High School. On October 20, 1962, she married Roy Peterson at St. Mary's Church in Menasha. Dolores and Roy lived in Appleton and Neenah before moving to Allenville (town of Vinland) in 1971. For a few years she had worked for National Foods Grocery Store. Dolores played and taught lessons on the accordion, piano, and guitar. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne, and its Family Life. Dolores was also involved in the Salvatorian Missions of New Holstein, Wisconsin. For a period of time, Dolores assisted and substituted when needed at Winneconne Elementary School in the special needs classes for mentally or physically disabled children. She was a special and caring advocate for her son Paul and other children with disabilities.
    Dolores enjoyed bowling, camping, reading, rummaging, antiquing, listening to polka and old country music and going out for fish frys. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as many beloved family pets.
    Dolores is survived by her husband, Roy Peterson of Allenville, and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this October. She will be missed by her six children and their families, Rosemary (Robert) Roth, of Omro, and their children, Bobby, Terri, Laura, and Michelle; Elizabeth (Thomas) Kelling, of Quincy, Illinois, and their daughters, Clarice and Elaine; Ray Peterson (Patty Winkler), of Larsen; Bonnie (Todd) Nagler, of Butte des Morts, and their daughters, Corrie and Samantha; Paul Peterson, of Neenah; Molly Peterson (Scott Bellile), of Neenah, and his son, Tyler. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters, Edwin "Butch" (Mary) Schueler; Virginia (Duaine) Chenier; Karen (Jim) Langedyke; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
    Along with her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by twin sons, Roger and Rodney Peterson.
    A funeral visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012, from 9:00 to11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. Following the visitation, there will be a Requiem Mass, with Fr. Hector Bolduc officiating. Burial will be in the Allenville Cemetery.

    Randall Ralph Becher, 51, passed away on April 16, 2009, in Tucson, AZ.
    Randy was born February 4, 1958 in Hortonville, WI, son of Gordon and Virginia Becher. He grew up and worked on the family farm with his seven brothers and sisters. Randy attended St. Mary's Grade School in Greenville and Hortonville High School. In 1976, he joined the Marines and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. After his discharge he returned to the farm.
    On April 16, 1989, Randy left home, spending seven years in Minneapolis, MN, and the last 13 years in Tucson, AZ.
    On March 2, 2009, Randy was diagnosed with Melanoma. He received excellent care at University Physicians and Odyssey HealthCare, a hospice in Tucson.
    Randy is survived by his mother, Virginia and step-father David Timm, Seymour. Sisters and brothers: Sharon Becher, Mayville; Conrad (Kris) Becher, Appleton; Jesse Becher, Hortonville; Bonnie (Charles) Lutzewitz, Appleton; Julie Becher, Greenville; Dorothy Becher, Rockville, MD and Lance Becher, Hortonville: 14 nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; nephew Bryce Rydberg and his grandparents.

He was born in Appleton on May 19, 1982, the son of Timothy and Barbara (Becher) Wolfgram. He graduated from Kaukauna High School and was an athlete in the wrestling program, earning honors in individual and state competition. John graduated from Fox Valley Tech. completing his apprenticeship and certification. He was employed with Suburban Electric. John loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved motor sports including ATVing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and dirt track racing. He also loved NASCAR and camping, along with many other interests. John is survived by his parents, Barbara and Tim and his special friend, Julie Hielke; John's special friend Amanda Kroner and their unborn son, of Kimberly; brother, Michael Wolfgram and special friend Tommy Kimbrell of Appleton; sister, SSGT Ann (James) Mitchell who serves in the Air Force in South Dakota; aunt, Nancy (Marty) Kerns of Appleton; and grandmother, Arlene Becher of Greenville. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Pat and Jim Wolfgram and Ralph Becher; and an uncle, Rich Becher. The funeral liturgy will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, N2385 Municipal Dr., Greenville, with Fr. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Friends will be received at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Monday, March 5, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in John's name is being established for his son. John, you did not leave this world alone. You took a big piece of all of our hearts with you.
