    Mrs. Bertha Roloff, 79 years of age, died on Sunday, February 23 at her home at 121 East Rowland St., after an illness of one year.
    She was born on October 9, 1861, in the town of Maple Creek. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida Marasch, Mrs. Wm. Knorr and Mrs. Minnie Warren all of New London; seven sons, Wm., John and Henry of New London, Arthur, Caledonia, and Leonard, Mukwa; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stake, Hortonville, and Mrs. Peter Bissonet of Antigo; twelve grand-children and sixteen great grand-children.
    Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 26 at 1:30 P.M. at the Cline and Learman funeral home and at 2 P.M. at the Emmanuel Lutheran church. Rev. W.E. Pankow officiating. Burial was at the Maple Creek Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Julius Fuerst, Frank Rusch, Wm. Reuter, Albert Knapp, Sr., Julius Felsner, and Gust Hanke. Those from out of town who attended the funeral are the following: Mrs. Walter Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. Leon La Mountain of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bork of Readfield; Mr. and Mrs. August Rubbert of Larsen; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Myers of Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Igna_ Pankratz; Mr. and Mrs. Berney Bernson, and Dave Disonette, all of Phlox; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kolby of Wittenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Knorr, Jr. and Herman Knorr, Sr. of Shiocton; and Mr. and Mrs. August Pribbernow and family of Clintonville.

    Adela Young, age 88, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Oakridge Gardens. She was born on July 20, 1923 in New London, the daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Rohloff) Marasch. On October 5, 1939, Adela married Irvin Young at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Adela managed the deli at Food Queen for twelve years, and then worked at Lawrence University, retiring in 1985.
    She is survived by her children: David (Jeanne) Young of The Villages, Florida; Nancy (David) Hassell of Appleton; Jim (Anna) Young of The Villages, Florida; Gary (Laurie) Young of Appleton; and Debbie (significant other, David) Becken of Watertown; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and a sister-in-law: Irene Marasch of Odessa, Missouri. Adela is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Young; daughter, Suzanne Young; brother, Elmer Marasch and a daughter-in-law, Judy Young.
    The funeral liturgy for Adela will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton. Fr. David J. Funk, OFM CAP will be officiating.     Bernice M. Ellenbecker, age 87, New London, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at St. Joseph Residence. Bernice was born on September 18, 1927, to the late Henry and Irene (Alft) Rohloff. She married Edward Ellenbecker on April 21, 1983. They lived in the New London area until 2013, when they moved to Touchmark Assisted Living in Appleton. Do to failing health in May, Bernice moved to St. Joseph Residence. Bernice had worked at the Hortonville Toy Company and later for the New London School District retiring in June of 1988. Ed and Bernice enjoyed many years of traveling together after retiring. Bernice will be sorely missed by her family and by everyone whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband Ed of 31 years; two children Sally (Steve) Van Oudenhoven, Sturgeon Bay; Richard Andrews, Seattle Washington; three step children: Donna (Roy) Ferg, Neenah; William (Angela) Ellenbecker, Joliet, Illinois; and Judy (Jerry) Mulroy, Escanaba, Michigan.     Lola M. Moder, age 81, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was born on August 26, 1934 in Hortonville to the late Rock and Beatrice (McGlin) Moder. She attended Hortonville High School.
    Lola was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Appleton and also was a part of the Phoebe Circle.
    She was first employed with the Hortonville Toy Factory and later worked for Hortonville Canning Company, Anchor Foods and Mark's East Side. Lola also cleaned homes for many years.
    For nearly twenty years Lola was a volunteer at the Outagamie Food Services at Randall Court. During her time there she was awarded many certificates of appreciation and the Good Neighbor award.
    Lola greatest passion in life was traveling; she simply loved seeing new places. One of her favorite places to visit was Door County. She along with her friends and family would try to make the trip at least once a year.
    She is survived by her four sisters, Rose (Marvin) Besaw, Kay Delzer, Gerry (Ron) Hoier and Pat Henrickson and her brother, Lloyd (Gladys) Moder. Lola is further survived by her dear friend, Susan Weiss and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    In addition to her parents Lola was preceded in death by her two brothers, Russel and Robert; three sisters, Marion, Betty and Joyce.
    A funeral service for Lola will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street. A time of visitation will be held on Monday starting at 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Hortonville.

    Betty Jean Thorson, age 69, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Carolina Manor with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on July 26, 1944 in New London, WI; daughter of the late Rock and Beatrice (McGlin) Moder. On September 11, 1976 she was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Thorson.
    Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend but also as a hard worker. She was a waitress at Mr. and Mrs. K's in Greenville and served her customers with love with her BFF, Evie. Also, at the end of her career worked in the kitchen at Appleton Medical Center. She enjoyed going on fishing trips with family and pontoon rides with Bob and Evie; but most of all, Betty loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
    She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry; son, Rory (Karen) Kaddatz and their daughter, True; daughter, Roxanne (Bryan) Neumann and their daughters, Marissa and Mariya; daughter, Roberta "Bobbi" (John) Warnke and their daughters, Sheena (special friend, Caleb) and Shemane; step-son, Richard (Barbara) Thorson and their daughter, Brooke; step-daughter, Evette Heinzkill and her daughter, Stephanie (David) Leisure; great grandchildren, Brycen, Jordan and Silvia; six sisters, one brother and their families and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and good friends.
    Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Gene Kaddatz, two brothers, a sister, a step-son and a grandson.
    A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, W7265 School Rd., Greenville with the Rev. John Qualmann officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the church's cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association of Wisconsin or Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Greenville.
