    Clyde H. Roche, of Appleton, age 90, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was born June 25, 1925, on the family farm, in Freedom, WI, to Walter and Mary (Garvey) Roche.
    Clyde is survived by his son, David Roche; daughters, Mary (Aaron) Froh, Ellen Lehman (special friend Bob Paul) and Linda (Jerry) Jorgensen; grandchildren, Ben and Sam Roche, Vancouver, WA, Jennifer Fryer, Portland, OR, and Felicia and Aaron Froh, Milwaukee, WI; and three great-grandchildren: Jack, Henry, and Owen Fryer, Portland, OR.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Erdine (Sauer); daughter, Jacquelin; sisters, Corrine and Helen; and brothers, Kenneth, Robert, John, and Joseph.
    Clyde was in the army during World War II and was stationed in Zell am See, Austria. After the war, dad returned home and stated working at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co in Kaukauna, WI. Clyde retired after 40 years of service. He enjoyed traveling in the US and Europe.
    The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton, WI, with the Father Bill Hoffman officiating. The visitation will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Freedom, WI.

    Robert Joseph Roche, age 81, passed away peacefully February 6, 2009, at the Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. Bob was born July 30, 1927, in Appleton, WI. The family moved to Freedom, WI, where he attended school. Mr. Roche spent 51 months in Europe during World War II, while serving military duty in the Army. Later he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Fox Valley Technical School. In later years, Bob was a greeter at Walmart West. He was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church.
    Robert is survived by brothers: Patrick (Rita) Roche, Clyde and James, Appleton; Maurice, Hortonville; and Donald North Prairie, WI. Bob is also survived by Cheryl Roche, grandsons Cody (Kathy), Kevin Roche, two great-grandsons, and friends Richard and Dawn Staedt.
    He was preceded in death by his sisters: Corrine and Helen; and brothers: Kenneth and John.
    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009, in the Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Visitation will be at the Chapel from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services. Military Honors will follow.

    Joseph J. Roche, 79, Freedom, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2012. Joseph was born December 25, 1932 in Freedom Wisconsin to the late Walter and Mary (Garvey) Roche. In his youth, Joseph worked on the family farm. After graduation, he served his country as a member of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was an Armaments Electronics Technician. In June 1953, Joseph married the former Patricia Alesch at Holy Angels Church in Darboy. He was employed, at Woelz Paper and then Riverside Paper Company for over 26 years, before retiring in 1995.
    He along with his former wife raised their six children in the Hortonville area. After retirement he returned to the Freedom area where his life began to live out his years near family and friends.
    Gramps had a love of travel, the air force, family and friends. His greatest loves being his kids and grandkids.
    He will be sadly missed by his children, daughter Debbie Strebe, Monona, WI, sons Mike, Wichita Falls, TX, Bill, Green Bay, Gerry, Gresham, Randy, Hortonville and Jeff , Freedom, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brothers, Pat, Appleton, Clyde, Appleton and Don Roche, Mukwonago, Maurice Roche, Hortonville. Their spouses, grandkids and great grandkids and to his two yet to be born grandchildren he looked forward to meeting.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Pat, brothers Ken, John and Robert Roche, sisters, Helen Winslow and Corrine Kitzinger.
    Dad-the kids and I will forever miss the time spent playing, helping and being there when we needed you the most. Thank you for the memories, love, laughter, and even the grumpiness. Love Jeff and the kids. P.S. The chickens miss you too!
    Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Dave Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery following the services with military rites preformed by the Freedom VFW. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with a prayer service at 7:30, and again from 10:00am until the time of services at the church.

John worked on various aircraft throughout his career, starting with the F-84, F-86, F-89, F-100, F-101, F-102, F-106, A-37, O-2A, A-10, B-52, 716, and also had flight time in the T-33, F-89 and O-2A.

    John G. Roche, DeForest/ Freedom, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at his home. He was born on the home farm in Freedom, Wisconsin, to Walter P. Roche and Mary A. (Garvey) Roche on June 26, 1937. John graduated from Freedom High School in 1955. He married Elizabeth F. Van Handel on February 13, 1958, at St. John the Baptist Church in Seymour, WI.

    He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter P. Roche and Mary A. (Garvey) Roche; sons: Patrick John and John G. Jr.; brother, Kenneth Roche; sisters: Corrinne (Pete) Kissinger and Helen Winslow; sister-in-law, Erdine Roche.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, WI 54130 on Monday, October 13, 2008, at 12 noon with Father David Hoffman officiating. Burial to conclude at St. Nicholas Cemetery. A visitation will be held at church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the William S. Middleton Memorial Veteran's Hospital, 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, WI 53792.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his fellow veterans, friends and neighbors for their friendship and kindness.
    Those we love and remain with is for love itself lives on and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart for as long as there is memory, they live on in the heart. John will be dearly missed by all.

    Carol Neuman, 62, Mosinee, formerly of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point. She was born on May 2, 1948, in Black Creek, the daughter of the late Leslie and Corinne (Roche) Kitzinger. On May 13, 1972, Carol married Emil Neuman at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed gardening, picking raspberries, rummage sales, and most of all, spending time with her family.
    Carol is survived by her husband, Emil Neuman, Mosinee; sisters, Betty (Al) Hottensine, Freedom, Joan (Jerry) Kizewski, Mosinee and Barbara Balthazor, Appleton; brothers, Ron (fiancee Mary Carew) Kitzinger and Ken (Pam) Kitzinger, both of Appleton; and special niece, Ashley Buss, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, who all loved her dearly, other relatives and friends.
    The funeral liturgy for Carol will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2010, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton. Father Larry Abler will be officiating. Interment will take place at Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carol's name.
