Obituary:
Elois Caroline Lind, 84, passed away after a short illness on Friday, November 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
Lois was born August 24, 1929, in Appleton, daughter of the late Frank and Erma (Hoffman) Johnson. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1947 and was united in marriage to Walter Lind on February 7, 1948. Lois was a proud homemaker and enjoyed riding her Moped, knitting, crocheting, collecting elephants and dolls, and her beloved Chicago Cubs. She also greatly enjoyed her dog PeeWee and her bird Elvis.
Lois is survived by her husband Walter; children: Jenny (Steve) Albrecht and John (Wendy) Lind; grandchildren: Scott Albrecht, Robert Albrecht, Skylar Albrecht, Tyler (Darcie) Lind, and Jason (Kadee) Lind; great-grandchildren: Damien Albrecht, Dalton Albrecht, Lilith Lind, Alice Lind, and Nathaniel Miller; brother-in-law: John J. Lind; and sister-in-law: Bernice (Jack) DeJardin. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Lois is also preceded in death by her parents; son: Gary Lind; sisters: Ione (Robert) Breitenfeldt and Pauline Kemps; brother: Jerome Johnson; and sister-in-law: Marge (Everet) Rooyakkers.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Valley Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Klaisner officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Lois's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Lois's name.
