Obituary:
Sedella M. Jacob entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2013, at the age of 97. Della was born in 1916 in Seymour, the daughter of the late John and Rose Dudek. She and Nicholas L. Jacob were married April 19, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton.
Della is survived by her beloved husband Nicholas L. Jacob of Appleton; her daughter Patricia Jacob Hannemann and son-in-law David Hannemann, both of Summerville, South Carolina. Survivors also include Marie Jacob, the sister of Nick and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Norman Dudek and his wife Hildegard; and brother-in-law, Frank Jacob.
Della was a member of the Appleton Elk Ladies, YMCA Garden Club, and St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, dancing, and meeting new people.
The funeral liturgy for Sedella will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State Street in Appleton. Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap., and Fr. Bob Lexa officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name. The family would like to thank the employees of Peabody Manor for the excellent care and compassion given to Della during her days in the Heritage Hospice Care unit.
