    Obituary:
    Doris M. Miller (Bayer), age 88, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Doris was born on August 3, 1927 in Menasha, WI to the late Greg and Emma Bayer. She graduated from St. Mary High School in Menasha in 1945. After graduation Doris worked at Banta Corporation for several years. She married the love of her life, Harold Miller in 1956 and just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
    Doris spent 60 years of her life keeping Harold in line and raising four children; John, Paul, Ann and Mary. Doris enjoyed cross-stitch, reading, puzzles, boating, seeing the U.S. on family vacations and watching her children and grandchildren in all their activities.
    Doris is survived by her husband Harold and her children John (Shelley) Miller of Alpharetta, GA, Paul (Jennifer) Miller of Spring, TX, Ann (Kurt) Rasmussen of Menasha, WI, and Mary (Paul) Sorensen of Menasha, WI. Her grandchildren: Benjamin and Hannah Miller, Sheridan, Hamlin, McKenna Miller, Molly and Emily Rasmussen and Stefan Sorensen. She is also survived by her brother Gerald (Connie) Bayer and many friends.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Doris will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH (528 Second St., Menasha) with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha.
    The family wishes to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens for their exceptional care. Also, a thank you to Ministry Health Services for the hospice care given to Doris.

    Obituary:
    Gerald H. Bayer, 87, Neenah, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017with his family by his side. He was born on June 4, 1930, in Appleton, the son of Gregory and Emma (Bauer) Bayer. Jerry honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of American Legion Post #38, Appleton. Gerald was united in marriage to Connie Smith on September 8, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Menasha. He loved sports and enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren play various sports.
    Gerald is survived by his wife of 61 years: Connie; two children: Kevin (Lona) Bayer and Keith (Heather Fredrich) Bayer; four grandchildren: Wyatt (Jenna), Willow, Lara, and Rex Bayer. Gerald was looking forward to the arrival of his first great grandchild. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Joan Gawlick and Sami Smith; and one brother-in-law: Harold Miller; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Doris Miller.
    A private family service, with full military honors, will be held at King at a later date.
    Memorial contributions are appreciated to Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King.
