    John T. Janz, 92, Green Bay, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at an area hospital with his family by his side. John was born Sept. 17, 1911, in Appleton, the son of the late Bartholomew and Caroline (Schiebler) Janz. On May 18, 1938, John was united in marriage to the former Angeline Schmitz at St. Boniface Catholic Church, De Pere. He was a lifelong dairy farmer. John also owned the Log Cabin Furniture Store in Oneida for 20 years. For eight years he managed the Raven Crest apartments. John was an avid reader and enjoyed golf and bowling. On May 18th John and Angeline celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
    Survivors include his wife; six children, John B. (Mary) Janz Jr., De Pere; Caroline Janz, Tucson, Ariz.; Mary (Mike) Stepanski, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Bart (Sandy) Janz, Denver, Colo.; Carl (Dawn) Janz, Portland, Ore.; and Debbie (David) Robbins, De Pere; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; special godchild, Dorothy Janz-Liepins; and many nieces and nephews.
    John was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Angeline Herrmann and LaVerne Janz; one granddaughter, Brenda Herrmann; and 11 brothers and sisters.
    Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, Sunday Sept. 12, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S.     Gen Western, age 90, passed away at a local nursing center on Thursday evening, December 20, 2012. She was born at home on February 6, 1922, daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Janz) Goffard. On October 16, 1943, she married Glenn G. Western; he preceded her in death in 1964. Living with her parents for many years, she dedicated herself to their ongoing care. Gen was also a member of the William Verhagen Post #60 Auxiliary of the American Legion.
    Gen is survived by two children: Guy (Mary Lou) Western of St. Paul, Minnesota and Glenda Western of Kimberly; a brother: William L. Goffard of Kimberly; and a sister: Doris (Lawrence) Rothe of Appleton. Also surviving are Glenn's family: Raymond (Wilma) Western of Illinois, Harvey Western of Wisconsin, Howard Seefeldt of North Dakota, Marian Western of New Mexico, and Nancy Western of Minnesota. Gen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn in 1964; a brother: Norbert "Nubs" (Florence) Goffard; sisters-in-law: Joan Goffard, Alice Western, Dorothy Seefeldt, Edna (Maurice) Wiles, Nora Western Kliest, Clara Mae Western McKnight; and brothers-in-law: Earl Western, Edward Western, Norman (Doris) Western, Alvin (Bunny) Western, and Mildred (Gordon) Siebert.
    The funeral liturgy for Gen will be held at11:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street in Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Private burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday morning for thirty minutes prior to the mass, and then again following the service.     Rothe, Doris N (Goffard) 92, Appleton, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 surrounded by her family. Doris was born April 15, 1924 to the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Janz) Goffard. On March 23, 1943 she married the late Lawrence Rothe. They lived in Appleton raising their 10 children for 71 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Christian Mother's Society and Homemakers of America. She loved spending time with her 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking her famous banana bread and BBQ chicken. She was so unselfish and patient with all who knew her.
    She will be so missed by her children: Bernadette Arps; Patricia (Mike) Guyette; Lawrence Jr. (Julia; Sueann Rothe; Michael (Jeannie); Deborah (Mike) Plante; Timothy (Judy); David (Robin); Cynthia (Rick) Harp and Joseph and special friend, Laura.
    Doris spent her last years at the Bridges of Appleton where she had nicknames like grandma and beautiful lady. She was spoiled by all the staff as well as her family. We thank them all for their loving care.
    A Mass of Resurrection for Doris will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 9 - 11 AM Wed. in the Sacred Heart Room at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.

    Norbert Goffard, 83, Golden Valley, MN, formerly of Neenah, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Golden Valley Care Center. He was born October 19, 1927, in Oneida, son of Leonard and Elizabeth (Janz) Goffard. Norbert married Florence Stelow and she preceded him in death December 4, 1971. He was employed at John Strange Paper Company until his retirement. Mr. Goffard was a U.S. Marine Corps and Merchant Marines veteran. Norbert enjoyed being with his family.
    Norbert is survived by his son: Perry (Leann) Goffard, Minneapolis, MN.
    Norbert was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Goffard.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Norbert's name.

Bill was born June 13, 1929 in Appleton, son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Goffard (Janz). He was a proud military veteran and avid athlete. On November 13, 1954, he married the late Joan Remillard in Kimberly. He is survived by a large loving family including sons, William Jr. (Karen), Kimberly, and his children Sarah, Sharel, and William III; Bob (Debbie), Darboy, and his children Jamie, Justin, and Jenny; Bruce (Kerry), Kimberly, and his children Jessie, Niki, and Matt; and a daughter Beth Wettstein (Mike Anholzer), Kimberly, and her children Katie and Rosie; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister Doris (Larry) Rothe, Appleton. Bill is further survived by Joan's brother, Paul (Dorothy) Remillard, Negaunee, Michigan, her sister, Pat Tynissma, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and her brother-in-law Ray Hakenjos, Negaunee, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends, including all his special friends at Hallmark in Kimberly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, and his son Brian "Butch" Goffard; sister Genevieve Western and brother Norbert "Nubs" Goffard, and other in-laws.
    Bill's most cherished times included those at his home "up north" in Lakewood, where he enjoyed his retirement fishing and entertaining family. Bill's grandchildren have so many fond memories up at "the cottage" spending time at Bullfrog and Wheeler Lakes fishing, listening to Brewer games on the radio, riding four-wheelers, and spending countless hours around the fire.     Dix, Helen M. (Janz)
    Helen, age 73, of Punta Gorda, FL died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, FL. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle M. and Henry L. Janz. Helen was born August 28, 1931. She worked for Badger Northland for a number of years, and originally retired to a home on Lake Metonga, Crandon before moving to Florida. Helen was extremely fond of her two poodles, Penny and Lady.
    Helen is survived by her husband, Wallis O. "Sonny" Dix; four children: Marvin (Kathy) Van Wychen, Margaret (Michael) Maes, Kenneth (Lynn) Van Wychen, and Norman (Micki) Van Wychen; and a daughter-in-law, Connie Van Wychen. She is further survived by three brothers and two sisters: Marvin (Elsie) Janz, Dorothy Liepins, Joan (Jerry) Klarer, Larry Janz, and Jim (Sue) Janz; nine grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Elroy "Bud" Dix; and a sister-in-law, Tootie Magaurn.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Terence Van Wychen; brothers, Robert Janz and infant Gerald Janz; and a grandchild, Jeff Thorson.
    It was Helen's wish to be cremated and requested a private family service. The family was assisted by ICS Cremation Society Inc. in Punta Gorda, FL. Our wishes are that any remembrances or contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    Marvin H. Van Wychen passed away at home on Thursday, June 7, 2012, in the loving arms of his wife Kathy. He fought an admirable three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
    He was born on March 14, 1949, in Appleton to Melvin and Helen (Janz) Van Wychen. Marv worked at Webex Inc. for 18 years and then Axle Tech International until the time of his illness. Marv's passions in life were Kathy, hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling.
    Marv is survived by his wife, Kathy (Rozek) Van Wychen; his son, Paul Van Wychen, and grandchildren, Brianna, Emma, and Henry; stepson, Bryan (Julia) Thorson, and grandchildren, Caroline and Douglas; his father, Melvin Van Wychen; brothers, Kenny (Lynn) Van Wychen, Norm (Micki) Van Wychen; sister, Mugs (Mike) Maes; sister-in-law, Connie Van Wychen, stepbrothers, Mike (Karen) Wilquet, Ron (Diane) Wilquet; stepsister, Peggy (Dave) Hopp; in-laws, Roger (Sherry) Rozek, Ron Rozek, and Debbie (Frank) Robinson. He is also survived by many other relatives as well as good friends, Al Mathison, Gary Presteen, and Jay Jack.
    Marv was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Dix; brother, Terry Van Wychen; stepmother, Millie Van Wychen; stepfather, Wally Dix; stepbrother, Richard Wilquet, and stepson, Jeffery Thorson.
    A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd., Appleton, with Pastor Mark Tegtmeier officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    A memorial in Marv's name has been established for the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
    Marv's family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Phillips and his staff at Theda Clark for their wonderful care and support.

    Van Wychen, Terry A.Terry A. Van Wychen, age 54, was given the promise of "eternal life" on Au gust 22, 2004, after a courageous, painful battle with pancreatic cance r. He died at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Janua ry 27, 1950 to Melvin and Helen Van Wychen. Terry graduated from Kaukau na High School in 1968 and was drafted in the Army in the Fall of 196 9. He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Pynenberg, on April 9, 19 70, and she joined him during his service duty in Germany. His love for h is wife and family was always evident in all that he did. He loved his t wo sons, Ben and Jacob, and was very proud of the men they had become. Ter ry had started out as a carpenter with his Uncle Rich Van Wychen and al so worked as a lead foreman for the Trade Mark Construction and Syring Dev elopment. In March of 1982, he was hired at Wisconsin Tissue, now kno wn as SCA and was currently working as a shift trainer up until his illnes s. Terry was well respected as an employee and always willing to help anyo ne. You could "bet" on it. Terry was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Fr eedom and also a member of Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 in Litt le Chute. Terry loved the outdoors. He always said that he was pretty clo se to being in Heaven when sitting out in his deer hunting stand or o ut on a lake fishing.He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his children, Benjamin (speci al friend, Dawn), of Freedom; and Jacob (special friend, Rachel Keller ), of Little Chute; two cherished grandsons, Spencer and Trevor; his fathe r, Melvin Van Wychen, of De Pere; his mother and step-father Helen and Wal ly Dix, of Florida; brothers, Marvin (Kathy), Neenah; Ken (Lynn) Kaukaun a; Norm (Micky), Kaukauna; a sister, Mugs (Michael Maes), Kaukauna; step-b rothers and sister, Dick, Mike, Ron and Peg Wilquet.
