    Obituary:
    Paul Helmrath, age 87, of Appleton, passed away March 16, 2010, at Manor Care in Appleton. Paul was born July 22, 1922, in Appleton, son of the late John and Catherine Helmrath, and step son to Theresia Zimmer since age 6.
    He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On November 15, 1958, Paul was united in marriage to Ione Letter. The couple has enjoyed 51 years together. He worked for WE Energy for 32 years.
    Paul enjoyed his years as a member of Appleton Elks Lodge #337 and was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
    He is survived by his wife Ione, Appleton; three sons: Jon (Cindy) Helmrath, CO; Michael Helmrath, CO; and Christopher Helmrath, Appleton; three step-children: Paul Raygor, Neenah; Robert Raygor, Appleton; and Barb (Douglas) Cole, Ontario, Canada. He is further survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marguerite Hart.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St. Friends may visit in the Sacred Heart room at church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    The following obituary is being republished to provide additional information. MARGEURITE HELEN HART, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at St. Mary Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. Born in Appleton, Wis., she was a homemaker. She was a World War II Veteran of the Navy Waves Hospital Corps and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include daughters, Mary (Richard) Marlow and Maria Zimmer, both of Fort Wayne; sons, David F. Hart of Fort Wayne and Patrick M. Hart of Kaysville, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Helmrath of Appleton, Wis.; and stepmother, Theresa Helmrath of Suring, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Hart, in 1996. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4643 Gaywood Drive. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, with Vigil Service at 4:30 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Oblate of Marry Immaculate - Belleville, Ill.
