Obituary:
JUDITH A. VAN DYKE, 56, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Kimberly, Wisc., the daughter of the late Richard and Grace (BUSS) DEBRUIN. She was an avid camper and traveler. She was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, and the Friends of 1,000 Islands Environmental Center.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Ed VAN DYKE of Kaukauna; a daughter, Diane VAN DYKE and her finacee, Michael POGRANT of Kaukauna; two sons and their wives, Robert APPLETON of Nicholasville and his wife, Penny, and William APPLETON and his wife, Deborah. also of Nicholasville; six grandchildren, Megan Ann VAN DYKE, Connie, Michael ahd Brittany VAN DYKE; Amanda and Emily VAN DYKE; four brothers and sisters-in-law; a sister; numerous nieces and nephews, a favorite uncle, Harold DEBRUIN of Kimberly, and her cat, Goldie. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dorothy VAN DYKE of Kaukauna; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna with Fr. Fred MULLARKEY officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of services. There will be no visitation at Boettcher Family Funeral Home in Kaukauna.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Holy Cross Catholic Church.
