    Obituary:
    Leon Fischer, 93, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Leon was born on December 22, 1922 to Andrew and Elsie (Plutz) Fischer in Black Creek. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during WWII. Leon married Pearl Meiers and she preceded him in death. He worked for many years as a general contractor and real estate developer.
    Leon is survived by his children; Connie (Chuck) Fritsch, Barbara (Vern) Frahm, and Terry (Sharon) Fischer, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, two brothers; Armon (Alta) Fischer, and Milton Fischer, and friends Patrick and Barbara Leitermann of Gillett, whom he lived with for 32 years, other relatives and friends.
    Leon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pearl, a grandson Kevin Fritsch, a great great granddaughter Adelyn Frahm, a brother Clemence (Marge) Fischer, and a sister-in-law Irma Fischer.
    The funeral liturgy for Leon will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence St. with Fr. Jim Leary,O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.

    Milton John Fischer (Uncle Milty) was born to Andrew Fischer and the former Elizabeth (Elsie) Van Camp (Plutz) on June 3, 1927 at Black Creek, WI. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith.
    He volunteered and served in the US Army in Europe in World War II, receiving an Honorable Discharge on February 26, 1947 at the rank of Sergeant.
    He married Erma Springstroh on August 28, 1948 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Freedom, WI. The union lasted for 67 years and was blessed with five children, Bonnie, Jack, Debra, Cynthia and Sandra.
    The family settled in Appleton and Milton pursued a career in land development, including multiple man-made lakes, and residential home building in a real estate career that spanned nearly 60 years. He was extremely proud of all of his partners in his life's endeavors.
    He served on the council at Bethany Lutheran Church and as board member and President of the Fox Valley Lutheran High School Foundation for over 40 years. He also served as member and President of the Valley Home Builders Association in Appleton, Chairman of the Parade of Homes in Appleton and was a Life Spike member of the Wisconsin Home Builders Association.
    He loved his family, his life's work, celebrating life with others, and his faith.
    He is survived by Daughter, Bonnie Jean Kinate of Wausau, WI; Son, Jack L. Fischer of Appleton, WI; Daughter, Debra K. Kenyon and husband, Rev. John R. Kenyon of Stevensville, MI; Daughter, Cynthia S. Lecker and husband, John Lecker of Greenville, WI; Daughter, Rev. Sandra L. Fischer and husband, William G. Madsen, Esq. of North Granby, CT; 15 grandchildren: Jennifer L. Kinate Weber (Michael); Jeffrey P. Kinate (Meghan); Dr. Matthew J. Fischer (Jacklyn); Jonathan L. Fischer, Esq. (Jennifer Buelow Fischer); Kathrine R. Fischer (Thomas Black); Jacqueline R. Kenyon, David R. Kenyon (Emily); Linda M. Kenyon Sorcic (Grant); Kimberly K. Kenyon, Michele L. Lecker Micheel (Rev. Paul); Jeremy J. Lecker (Stephanie); Rachel M. Madsen, Naomi E. Madsen, Trey W. Madsen, Claire S. Madsen, and eight great-grandchildren: Lila Mourino-Madsen, Brody Kinate, Delaney, Kelsey and Maxwell Weber, Silas and Loukas Micheel, Elijah Lecker, His Brother, Armon (Alta) Fischer of Ripon, WI; Former son-in-law, Paul M.     He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma; by son-in-law, Jeffrey Cook; parents, Andrew and Elsie; and brothers, Clem and Leon.
    A visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, October 27 at Valley Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 9:00-9:45 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 530 W Parkway Blvd., Appleton, on Saturday morning. The funeral service will be at 10:00, with Rev. David Pagel and Rev. John Kenyon officiating. Military Honors will be at 11:00, lunch from 11:30 to 12:30, and the committal at 1:00 pm. The graveside committal rite will be observed at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fox Valley Lutheran High School Foundation.
