    Joyce A Schmitt, Fairy Springs Rd, Hilbert, age 70, died Wednesday, November 6, 1991 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 2, 1921 at Thorp, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Earl and Josephine (VanHulst) Alger. She was a graduate of St. John High School, Little Chute. She was married to Robert Schmitt on November 22, 1939 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. After marriage, the couple had resided in the Stockbridge area, where Mrs Schmitt resided for the last 43 years. She worked as a laborer for Tecumseh Products, New Holstein for several years; she then owned and operated a restaurant in Stockbridge for four years, retiring in 1968, and then was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. She enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee with her many friends.
    Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Mrs LeRoy (Janet) Ecker, and Mrs Thomas (Alyce) Head, all of Stockbridge; a son, Wayne Schmitt, Appleton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law; Mrs John (June) Weber Sr, Stockbridge; Mrs Les (Pat) Winius, Little Chute; Mrs David (Carol) Elmergreen, Stockbridge; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Marvin and Lorraine Alger, Kaukauna; John and Mary Alger, Chilton; Ronald and Dorothy Alger, Stockbridge; a very special friend, Ellen Hemauer, Stockbridge.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert in 1989; three brothers and a sister.
    Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 1991 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with Rev Kenneth Frozena officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church on Saturday at the Sansom Funeral Home, Stockbridge. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Joyce's name.

    June Weber, age 84, of Stockbridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 06, 2015. June was born on June, 1, 1930 to the late Earl and Josephine (Van Holst) Alger. She married the late John Weber, Sr. on June 10, 1948. June loved bird watching, gardening, playing 500 rummy, and trying her luck at the slot machines in Carter. Every Christmas she would make candy to hand out to family members and friends, which was always a treat. The biggest joy in June's life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. June was a faithful member of Christ the King Lutheran Church for many years.
    June is survived by her children: John (fiancé, Sherry Kutchenriter) Weber, Mike "Rocko" (Jolene) Weber, Alan (Sue) Weber, Tammy (Mark) Johnson, Kevin (Kristy) Weber, Joe (Carrie) Weber; grandchildren: Val (fiancé, Jason Wallace), John, Jodi, Cory, Wendy and Robbie Weber; Amy (Eric) Schalk; Jamie (Eric) Plate and Chad (fiancé, Megan Tynan) Weber; Amber and Megan Ruffing; and Kiara Weber; eight great grandchildren; brothers: John (Mary) Alger and Ronnie (Dot) Alger; and sisters Pat (Les) Winius and Carol Elmergreen; daughter-in-law Lollie Weber; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, daughter Cheri, and many other family members.

    Patricia R. Winius, Little Chute, age 84, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 25, 2016 as a result of a long battle with heart disease at the St. Paul Home. She was born in Kaukauna to the late Earl and Josephine (Van Holst) Alger. On February 13, 1954 she was united in marriage to Lester Winius. Together, they raised 7 children and owned and operated several business, including Morning Glory Dairy and Village Lanes, both in Little Chute. Pat enjoyed reading, gardening and sharing a good joke.
    Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years, Les; her children: daughter-in-law, Darlene (Joe) Winius-Gries; daughter, Vicky (Joe) Ratzman; son, Scott Winius; daughter, Kim (Steve) Sturm; son, Brian Winius; daughter, Shelley (Tom) Evers; and son, Todd Winius; grandchildren: Brent (Shana), Chris and Erika (Justin) Winius, Jenny (Jason) Munson, Rachel Winius, Kevin (Ashley) Sturm, Kelly VanderWyst, Whitney and Skyler (Theresa) Evers; great grandchildren: William Winius, McKenzie and Zach Munson, Dakota Schuh, Tytan and Taz Sturm, and two more due in February; sister, Carol Elmergreen; brothers: Johnny (Mary) and Ronnie (Dorothy) Alger; and brother and sisters-in-law: Harriet Masch, Alice "Honey" Hermus, Henry (Claire) Winius, Joe (Terry) Winius and Isie Winius.     Chilton - John "Buzz" Alger - John Alger, 83, died on June 11th, 2018.
    Son of Earl and Josephine (VanHulst) Alger, John was born in Little Chute. He spent his childhood in Kaukauna and moved to Fairy Springs Beach on Lake Winnebago before seventh grade. John graduated from Stockbridge High School. In 1956 he married Mary Wagner at St. Mary's in Stockbridge. After he was married, he was drafted and served two years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.
    John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially sturgeon spearing. He had a vast knowledge of nature that he enjoyed sharing. John had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by many and will be greatly missed. He lived on Lake Winnebago for many years, which provided a great place to raise a family. He came up with many fun adventures for his two daughters and their friends.
    John worked as a pressman at American Can Co. in Neenah for 41 years.
    John is survived by his wife, Mary, and his children Kathryn (Jack) Doxtator and Holly (David) Boe. Six grandchildren, Chantae Mittelstaedt, Shaun Bogan, Brittney Wanless, Blake, Grant and Shane Boe. Four great-grandchildren, Gage, Malia, Sophia and Keaton Mittelstaedt.
    His brother, Ronald (Dorothy) Alger and sister, Carol Elmergreen. Brothers-in-law Les Winius, John (Sandi) Wagner, Mark (Sandy) Wagner and sisters-in-law Mary Kay Wagner, Joan (Andrew) Meyer, Lois (Bill) Forstner.
    John was preceded in death by his parents, his father- and mother-in-law, Norbert and Alvera Wagner, his brothers George (Gladys), Archie (Lorraine), Robert (Bernadette), Bernie (Gloria) and sisters, Joyce (Bob) Schmitt, June (Jake) Weber, Pat Winius and brothers-in-law, David Elmergreen and Paul Wagner.
    A Funeral Service is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30th, 2018, at St. Mary's Church in Stockbridge with Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. Online condolences wietingfuneralhome.com

    Jean Marie, Alger 313 Sarah St., Kaukauna Daughter of Mr. and Mrs George Alger, age 16, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Sunday evening, the results of an automobile accident. She was born March 13, 1942, in Appleton and had been a a life resident of Kaukauna. She was a Sopho more at Kaukauna High. Sur vivors beside her parents are two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Joan Sikora, West De Pere, Mrs Gerald (Joy) Thiel, Kimberly grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Sari Alger, Rt. 2, Hilbert Funeral services will be held from Holy Cross Catholic.
