Hi Jay! Frederick Bloy was married the 2nd time to Louisa Piepenburg which you probably already know. I have done extensive research on the Piepenburg family as they were my husband's family. I have a little bit of info for you
    on them.
The following is an excerpt from a letter written to Neil Piepenburg on July 21, 1981 from Wil Bloy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Frederick was the owner of a 39 acre farm, inherited from his father, at Neuvorwerk, Keis Silesia, Prussia. He served in the Seven Weeks War with Austria. In 1866 he received a medal from bravery from this war from the Battle of Koenigratz. The medal is dated July 5, 1866. He also served in the Franco-Prussian War from 1870-1871.
In 1861 he married Mrs. Carolina Schultz (could also be spelled Schulz). She apparently had one child from a previous marriage - Pauline. They had eight children - all born in Germany. einhold was apparently born just before they left for America or enroute - hence his name is not listed on their papers from germany. Carolina's maiden name was Stocke or Rohde.
In May, 1874 he arrived in America and settled in Woodvill Township, Calumet County, Wisconsin. According to information we have, 3 months after arriving here, Carolina died. She died August 29, 1874.
On December 28, 1874, he married Louise Piepenburg. She was the daughter of Gottlieb and Henrietta Piepenburg, also of Silesia, Germany. They had three sons - Henry, wifes name was Ida - they had no children. Fred, Wife's name was Alma - they had no children ( he's the one who had the photography
studio in Milwaukee near old Concordia Ave. Church). Albert, wife's name was Esther -
I hope this helps. I don't know much about Louisa's and Frederick's family. Louisa was the 2nd child of Johann Gottlieb Piepenburg and Henrietta Wilkie.
My husband descended from her brother Albert who was his grandfather.
    Betty P.

Hi, I saw your tree at Rootsweb/Ancestry.

Specifically, you list a Frederick (b.1836) and Gotlieb Bloy (b. 1828) as brothers. I am a descendent of Frederick and have been trying to verify that they are, in fact, brothers. Through our genealogy, we have assumed this to be the case, but I am wondering if you have a source document for this. Thanks, Heather Stabo
