    Obituary:
    See Image Mrs. Robert Raithel, 69, 740 18th St. South died about 9:00 p.m. Monday at Riverview Hospital following a five month illness. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Rev. Robert Bachman officiating, with burial in Forest Hills cemetery. The former Ramona Panter was born November 16th, 1906, in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Panter, married Harry Wilpolt in February of 1929, here, and he died December 28th, 1950. Her second marriage was to Robert E. Raithel on June 13th, 1955, in Johnson Creek. She owned and operated Wilpolt restaurant here for several years after Mr. Wilpolt died, she also was a chief matron of deaf some County Sheriff's department for several years. Mrs. Wilpolt was a member of the Lady aides at her church. Survivors include her husband:, her mother Mrs. Alford Panter, Wisconsin Rapids, two daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Gross, of Wisconsin Rapids and Mrs. David Appel, of Plover, five grandson's, a stepson Robert D. Raithel, of Wisconsin Rapids and a stepdaughter Mrs. Sandra Anderson, of Fort Atkinson, and four step grandchildren. Memorials may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church Improvement fund. Friends may call at Taylor funeral home from 2 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and until noon Thursday than at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.

    See Image Jean Appel, 65, of Plover, died Jan 10, 2001 at her home. Services wi ll be at 11 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Plover. The Re v. Al Moen will officiate. Burial will be at Plover Cemetery. Visitati on will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Jensen and Jinsky Funeral Home, Plo ver and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.Jean was born on May 16, 1935 in Wisconsin Rapids, to the late Harry and R amona (Panter) Wilpolt. She was educated in Wisconsin Rapids schools. S he was married on June 26, 1954. Jean worked as a housewife and homemake r. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, darts, children, crocheting and spendi ng time with her grandchildren.Survivors include four sons, Michael, Orlando, Fla; Steve (Amy), Carlsba d, Calif; Daniel (Julie) Green Bay, and Kevin (Sharry), Oshkosh; one siste r, Joan (Donald) Allen, Wisconsin Rapids; and four grandchildren, Jill, Ky le, David and Daniel.She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Raithel and her grandm other, Carrie Panter. Special thanks to Hospice of Portage County. The ir support and help for the family is deeply appreciated. Memorials m ay be designated to Hospice of Portage County.
