Jack was promoted and then worked as canning floor supervisor until the factory closed in 2000.

The horrible disease, rheumatoid arthritis had taken over, and then recently, Jack was diagnosed with yet another disease, cancer. Jack very seldom would ask for help and never complained about his disease. He said it is what it is. Jack was always willing to help others with anything.
Jack is survived by two sons, Stephan (Tracey) and Brian (fiancé Jen Dickey); grand children, Abigail, Joshua and Caileigh Hoier; brother, Gary Hoier; and sister, Julie (John) Szablewski. A very special THANK-YOU to his niece, Chelsea for all the care she gave him during his last several weeks without her some of us would have been lost on what to do. Also the family would like to THANK Affinity Hospice Nurses, St. Joseph's Nursing Home and St. Elizabeth Hospital for there help and care of Jack.
