    Age 90, of Greenville, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born on May 28, 1922 in the Town of Dale, daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (Hanselman) Diley. Virginia was a 1940 graduate of Washington Senior High School, New London. On October 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Norman B. Julius at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville. While working side by side with Norman on the family dairy farm, she also found time to always be there for family and friends when needed. Virginia enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Three Lakes, snowmobiling, motorcycling around the country, trips to Arizona, crafting and woodcarving. She volunteered many hours helping organizations in the Greenville Community. She was a member of the Greenville Women's Club, Greenville Homemakers, the Greenville Sesquicentennial Committee and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
    She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman; daughter: Linda (Richard) Kester, Pearce, AZ; daughter-in-law: Diane Julius, Greenville; grandchildren: Ryan (Stephanie) Julius, Greenville; Craig (Sarah) Julius, Greenville; Kara Julius, Greenville and her fiancé Joe Wittlin, Appleton; two great-grandchildren: Jackson and Masen Julius; two step great-grandchildren: Levi and Layna Ritchie; two sisters: Jean (Kenneth) Fredricks, Fremont; Nila (Adrian) Sommer, Three Lakes; sister-in-law: Dorothy Asmus, Winneconne. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by two sons; David "Dave" Julius in December 2010 and an infant son at birth, brother Warren Diley, brother-in-law Arlen Asmus, and sisters-in-law Mabel Diley and Phyllis Diley.
    The Christian Funeral for Virginia will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Joel Heckendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation for Virginia will be held directly at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Living Tree Estates and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care and concern for Virginia, and also all the visits by family and friends.

    Valeria Jean Fredricks, age 89, of Appleton, passed away on February 27, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Jean was born August 24, 1925 to the late Roy and Elizabeth (Hanselman) Diley in Dale. On August 8, 1959, Jean was united in marriage to Kenneth Fredricks.
    Jean enjoyed a long career in retail, working as a catalog manager for Montgomery Ward until it closed and then as a manager at Aldens Catalog store in Appleton until it also closed. She then worked as a manager for Gimbels and Marshall Fields, retiring when the department store chain finally left downtown Appleton.
    Jean was very active and loved fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, and gardening. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at their cottage in Three Lakes. She was an amazing woman; a brave free-spirit with many talents. She could sew a beautiful prom dress and she could clean fish better and faster than anyone. She will be dearly missed by many.
    Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ken; her daughter Jane (Gerald) Braun; her sister Nila (Adrian) Sommer; her granddaughters Jennifer (Duane) Doucette and Janet (Andy) Braun-Jaroszewicz; three great granddaughters and two great great grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Warren (Mabel, Phyllis) Diley; her sister Virginia (Norman) Julius; her infant granddaughter Julie Jean Braun; her brothers-in-law Orville (Ev) Fredricks and Marvin Fredricks.
    Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Resdience.     Obituary:
    David L. Julius, age 55, Greenville, was called home by his Savior on Friday, December 10, 2010, surrounded by his loving family while holding the hand of his wife Diane. Dave, son of Norman and Virginia (Diley) Julius, was born on July 24, 1955, in New London. On July 3, 1977, he was united in marriage to Diane Schaenzer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville. Dave was a member of the Greenville Fire Department since 1978. He was very passionate about serving the Town of Greenville as Fire Chief and Fire Inspector since 2001 and truly loved his job. He also owned and operated a dairy farm from 1976 to 1992. Dave enjoyed spending time at the river, and up north at the cottage. His pastimes included logging, woodcutting and a little fishing. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Greenville.
    He is survived by his wife Diane; his children: Ryan (Stephanie) Julius, Greenville; Craig (Sarah) Julius, Clintonville and their children, Levi and Layna Ritchie and Jackson Julius; Kara (fiance, Joe Wittlin), Greenville. A sister, Linda (Richard) Kester, Pearce, AZ. Father and mother, Norman and Virginia Julius, Greenville; father and mother in-law, Jean and Joann Schaenzer, Hortonville. brother and sister in-laws: Jim (Shelly) Schaenzer, Greenville; Dennis (Paula) Schaenzer Appleton; Steve Schaenzer (special friend, Jennifer Sommers), Hortonville. Nieces and nephews, Amie, Shannon, and Hannah Schaenzer, Bryan and Brandon Schaenzer and Jordan and Megan Schaenzer.
    Funeral services for Dave will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Greenville with Rev. David Scharf officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will held on Monday, December 13, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Greenville from 3-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to express their appreciation to the Greenville Fire Department and 1st Responders, Town of Greenville Employees, family and friends and all the contributors and volunteers of the benefit held for Dave in June.
    The family would also like to thank, Dr. John Swanson Jr., Dr. William Guenther, nurse Mary Jo and the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology; Dr. Gene Rigstad, ThedaCare Physicians North; Dr. Gilbert Fareau, Froedtert Hospital; Dr. Kyle Holen, University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison; and Dr. Alexandria Phan, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX; for all the wonderful care they provided during Dave's battle with adrenal cancer.
