    Wilpolt, Martha J. (Hanchette)PARDEEVILLE/SUN PRAIRIE - Martha J. (Hanchette) Wilpolt, age 76, passed aw ay peacefully from this life on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at the Remington H ouse, Pardeeville, Wis., after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Martha w as born on Dec. 4, 1926, to Orville and Johanna (Sachs) Hanchette. She att ended Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Central High School and the Universi ty of Wisconsin - Madison. She married Gene L. Wilpolt on Dec. 26, 194 9, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Madison. Martha was a caring person a nd for many years was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Johanna; a siste r, Josephine; and two beloved aunts, Marie and Christine Sachs. She was al so a devoted member o the Living Stones House of Prayer. She loved her flo wer beds, fishing on Park Lake, playing cards and the winters in the Tex as Rio Grande Valley with her Winter Texan friends. But her first love w as dancing, having started at the age of three at the Kehl School of Dan ce and she continued to be an avid ballroom dancer. She is survived by h er husband, Gene; and five children, Karen Molay, Mary Jo Wilpolt, and Jam es Wilpolt, all of Janesville, Thomas Wilpolt of Whitewater, and Barbara ( Daniel) Rottiger of Portage; grandchildren, Stephen (DeAnn) Wilpolt of Jan esville, Michael Wilpolt and Rebecca (Julio) Gonzales of Cambridge, Sar ah and Zachary Krause of Janesville, and Trent, Tyler and Trevor Rottig er of Portage; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theodora Zweifel of P alm Harbor, Fla., and Mary Kiper of Hemet, Calif.; and many nieces and nep hews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, Jo hn M., Charles E., and infant Molay; two brothers, John and Richard Hanche tte; and sister, Josephine Elkington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be h eld at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, on Wednesda y, Dec. 3, 2003, at 11 a.m. Private entombment will follow at Roselawn Mem orial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOM E, 5203 Monona Drive, on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. V isitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. unt il the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be ma de to the Alzheimers Association, 517 North Segoe Road #301, Madison, WI 5 3705. Martha lived her last four years in a wonderful home-like CBRF, T he Remington House in Pardeeville. There she was lovingly assisted by peop le who sincerely cared about her. The kindness of the Remington's staff me mbers is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered. A very speci al thank you to Jean Koch and Kathy Kohnke for their desire to keep Mart ha in their care for four long years even though she required total car e. For that we will be eternally grateful. I'm Free Don't grieve for me, f or now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand wh en I heard him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay ano ther day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks undone must stay that w ay. I found that peace at close of day. If my parting has left a void th en fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, a h, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorr ow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savor ed much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
