Obituary:
Ethel G. Mitchler, Kaukauna, age 90, passed away on Saturday January 4, 2014 at St. Paul Elder Services. She was born August 1, 1923 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Raymond and Myrtle (Taylor) Hennes. On October 14, 1943 she was united in marriage to William Mitchler at St. Mary Church in Kaukauna and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Together they were member of the Fox Valley Golf Club for 48 years. Ethel enjoyed fishing, watching the Packers and playing cards. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. Ethel was a longstanding and faithful member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Patti (Paul) Engstrom; her son, Scott (Julie) Mitchler; six grandchildren: Erin (Martin) Doctor, Danielle Mitchler, John (Casey) Hill, Dawn (fiancé Matt), Steven (Kelli) Hill and Alysha Engstrom; four great-grandchildren: Nolan, Mikalah, Maddox and Lilliana; three sisters-in-law: Gilda Hennes, Audrey Noie and Jean Lemberg; and a brother-in-law, Dale Mitchler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Esther (Roland) Schwalenberg; two brothers: Raymond and Gordy Hennes; two brothers-in-law: Jack Lemberg and George Noie.
The Memorial Mass for Ethel will be at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
