    Schmit, LeVern "Bud" J.
    LeVern "Bud" J. Schmit, 82, Seymour, peacefully went to his eternal rest on Friday Jan. 9, 2009, with his family by his side. LeVern was born June 17, 1926, in Seymour to the late Joseph and Martha Schmit. He was a lifetime resident of Seymour. On October 18, 1947, he married Marion G. Carpenter. LeVern served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member VFW Post #8209 and American Legion Post #0106. He was a member of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years. He worked at Melchert Brothers Garage in Seymour where he retired after 40 years. After his retirement from Melcherts he worked part time for the City of Seymour. He was a member of St. John's Cartholic Church, Seymour. LeVern enjoyed time with his family, sitting in his swing in the back yard, trips to the casino, puzzles and watching westerns on television.
    Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marion; his children, Dianne (Dan) Huettl, Seymour; Sally (Ron) Abel, Neenah; Thomas (Betty) Schmit, Seymour; Nancy Brockman and special friend Carl Benson, Wood River, Ill; and Sue (Tim) Diermeier, Black Creek; 14 Grandchildren, Tina (Scott) Bertrand, Gregg (Sarah) Huettl, Rick Huettl, Scott Abel, Kevin (Donna) Abel, Jason (Carrie) Abel, Nate (Sara) Schmit, Rob Schmit, Jen (Rick) Liebergen, Mike (Lisa) Brockman, Corey Brockman and his fiance", Kristin Grant, Kerry Brockman, Kristen Diermeier and Stephanie Diermeier; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee (Betty) Schmit; and two sisters, Fern Schroeder and Irene Zuleger. He is further survived by brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ralph Carpenter, Bernice (Merle) Klarner, Dora Fonder, Theresa (Bill) Piton, Dorothy Carpenter and many nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a nephew, Terry Schmit.
    Friends may call at St Johns Catholic Church, Seymour from 10 a.m Tuesday Jan. 13, 2009, from 10 a.m until services at 12 noon with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating . Burial in the parish cemetery.     Nancy J. Brockman, 58, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Aurora Bay Care Hospital in Green Bay following a short battle with cancer. She was born July 26, 1955 daughter of Marion (Carpenter) Schmit and the late LeVern Schmit.
    She was a 1973 graduate of Seymour High School. Nancy enjoyed photography, crafting and pet fostering.
    She was survived by her children: Mike (Lisa) Brockman, Seymour; Corey (Kristin) Brockman, Phillips; Kerry Brockman (special friend Kenn), Black Creek; four grandchildren: Nathan, Austin, Ashley and Logi Bear; sisters and brothers: Dianne (Dan) Huettl, Sally Abel, Thomas (Betty) Schmit, Sue (Tim) Diermeier; aunts and uncles; nephews and nieces.
    Preceded in death by nephews: Terry Schmit and Rick Huettl; brother-in-law, Ron Abel
    Gathering will be at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Saturday evening, January 11, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until services at 6:00 p.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial of cremains in St. Mary's Cemetery, Black Creek. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

    Richard "Rick" Huettl, 38, Black Creek, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, June 24, 2011, due to a motorcycle accident. He was born July 7, 1972, son of Dan and Dianne (Schmit) Huettl.
    Rick was a 1990 graduate of Seymour High School and graduated from Fox Valley Tech. He was employed with Metal Products in Appleton. Rick enjoyed archery, hunting, Packer games, time spent with his nieces and nephews, and riding his Harley.
    He is survived by his parents, Dan and Dianne Huettl, Seymour; brother, Gregg (Sarah) Huettl, Green Bay, and their children, Daniel, Jennifer, Justin and Ryan; sister, Tina (Scott) Bertrand, Green Bay, and their children, Emily, Jaclyn and Hunter; maternal grandmother, Marion Schmit, Seymour; and special friend, Sheri Huettl, Appleton.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, LeVern Schmit; and paternal grandparents, Francis and Eileen Huettl.
    Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, June 27, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
